Venue: The Alhambra Theatre, Canmore Street, Dunfermline

In this the 40th anniversary of the Pars winning the Cup in ’68, the story of Dunfermline Athletic’s glorious decade in the Sixties will unfold with interviews with Harry Melrose, Charlie Dickson, George Peebles, Ron Mailer and many others.
Can Dunfermline overturn a 4-0 away defeat to Spanish legends Valencia? Can they overcome a one-nil defeat at Goodison to one of England’s most famous clubs, Everton, and triumph on aggregate in the white hot atmosphere of a packed East End Park?
Come and see for yourself. Watch the victorious teams of ’61 and ’68 return to heroes welcomes as the open-topped bus makes it way down the High Street. See and hear a triumphant Jock Stein introduce his players from the balcony of the City Chambers.
This event, which is being organised by Dunfermline Heritage Trust, is an ideal opportunity for fans who lived through that phenomenally successful period in the club’s history to see it all again in the spectacular setting of the revitalised Alhambra.
For those fans who have only heard second-hand about these exploits, it’s also a unique chance to view those infamous games in the company of hundreds of fellow supporters and marvel at the free flowing attractive football of times gone that created such enormous interest both locally and nationally.
Doors open at the Alhambra at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.
