Rumours

Unsubstantiated rumours abound the last few days which unsettle fans and possibly the team. PARS_SOS`s attempts (on the forums) to promote these rumours have been categorily denied by directors of DAFC.

Despite our best efforts to remove offending posts on rumours of goings on at East End Park, PARS_SOS continued to promote them on other sites including PIE & BOVRIL.

As has been stated on many occassions by myself, the issue I take with the rumours is to do with them being discussed days before such an important UEFA cup game, not whether they were true or not (not that I believed them to be true in the first place).

Having spoken to many fans before and after the game, they 100% agreed with me that the specific rumour of Stephen Kenny being sacked by Friday should not have been highlighted because it would be highly de-motivating to the team and the fans. Having spoken to the Directors of DAFC in the afternoon of Thursday they categorically denied that Stephen Kenny would be dismissed on Friday. The Directors could not believe that anyone (friend or foe of DAFC) could post such information at such a crucial time. I also understood that Stephen Kenny was extremely unhappy with any such rumours being proliferated. I just wonder how much of an impact these rumours had on the fans when we went one down in the match last night ?

Having to deal with this issue in Gothenberg has been highly unsettling and stressful to myself and I am extremely dissapointed. I wonder sometimes (and I keep getting asked) why I continue to work on and support this web site - I have to ask myself the exact same question !
