It appears a Great White has staked a claim to the waters off Majorca. Now they have two options. They can either kill the shark or they can cut off its food supply.
Apparently the major of Majorca is trying to bury this news but the Chief of Police, who is new to the job, is battling with the public safety implications of keeping the beaches open.

One biff from my short left jab would sort him out.
Fortunately for him I'm not going near the Med this year.

Update: Local fisherman Senor' Quintero has told the authorities that for 3000 euros he will find the shark but that he values his neck more than that sum. He said "I'll find him for three but I'll catch him and kill him for ten!"
The major has yet to respond to his offer.

Well they need to get it sorted before high season starts TOWK that's for sure.
With the shortages of compressed gas across Europe we are rather exposed.

Well Majorca is a summer island. It needs summer euros.
As for the the compressed air, well if a shark sees a compressed air tank it will eat it. Seen one eat a rocking chair once.

Further update. It appears some rich college boy, who is an expert of marine life, is heading over from the mainland to help track the shark.
I reckon him and Senor Quintero won't get along too well. However if they can put aside their different social backgrounds I think they may find they have much in common...

I say without hesitation that Jaws is my favourite movie and I consider it to be a near perfect film. Spielberg at the height of his powers, three tremendous acting performances, a cracking script and an incredible score that compliments every scene beautifully.
It was the original summer blockbuster and it's never been bettered.

Totally agree! The fact we hardly even see the shark just adds to the suspense.
A perfect movie that never dates.
My old man took us to see this when I was only 6!
When boys were men.
