Not quite jailed. Suspended sentence. And jailed for selling the boxes rather streaming. Get a VPN and harder to find.

The prices Sky charge are criminal.

I'm not condoning it, but the service I receive for the money I spend is not
worth it. I'm not surprised those who can't afford it take the easier route of streaming.

Poor people shouldn’t have access to nice stuff so they have the incentive to work even harder. Or something like that. Richie will be able to explain it properly.

I can afford it. But choose not to take it because it's not worth it, even though I would like to watch it now and again.
It's theft otherwise. I'm sure a lot of the streamers could afford it too, even if it meant making compromises.
Quite simple really.

Never had Sky or any other package. Would not give them the money. Daylight robbery just so they can then pay inflated prices to English football and formula 1.
I could stream but choose not to.

Guess I'm a very bad person? Shame, maybe I'll cry some tears whilst I watch Brooklyn 99 4 weeks before its released in the UK or Westworld without lining Murdoch's pocket...

Regardless of who owns Sky. I will always feel good that I do not contribute to English, scottish football, formula 1 or any sport that they fleece you for.

Given your name, have you considered the Sky Movies bundle rather than the sports one.
I'm glad I don't give money to Sky. The English Premiership receives far too much in comparison to the Scottish leagues. Happy to stick with "cooncil" telly.

There will always be alternatives and folk one step ahead regardless if it's legality is dubious at best.
The first thing i remember was the days of the hookey irish sky cards which didn't last too long in the early 90's. Then there was the chipped NTL / Telewest boxes which used to sell like hot cakes if you lucky enough to be in a cabled area (remember that fondly as a student in Dundee at the time). OnDigital was another doddle to get by with a 3rd party card, then we had card sharing on the old SKY network and then more recently as internet speeds and infastructure got better on the whole the likes of XBMC and Kodi and IPTV which is, and will be, the next 'biggie' that will take off and they will try to ban and block.

Has it not also been proven that companies actually lose an almost negligible amount of money from those streaming their services 'illegally'? Most people who do would never have any intention of paying for these services normally so the likes of Sky etc would never actually get their money
