Much as I like David Moyes, his outburst after last night`s local derby was well off the mark. Firstly there was nothing wrong with Liverpool`s goal. The player in the offside position made no contact with Tarkowski and made no attempt to play the ball. To give offside for that would be utterly ridiculous. Secondly, Tarkowsky should have been red carded well before that for his reckless challenge on McCallister.

Moyes is usually careful in his assessments but maybe the occasion was too hot for him to handle.

Actually thought he had a point about the goal. If the Liverpool player is not there, would the defender have made a play on the ball?

The law is about gaining an advantage and it`s not hard to make an argument that he was active in that scenario.

I can see why it wasn`t given as offside, but still think it was a valid point to make.

The sending off is a different point and not related to the decision to award a goal.

To me that`s just stretching the point to the ridiculous arpar. The player in an offside position showed no intent to go for the ball and didn`t engage with the defender. To extend the offside rule to that would be ludicrous.

I think it was a valid point to make. The pass was aimed at the player and the defender knows the player is there which impacts what he does. If the Liverpool player wasn`t there, the defender would just leave it for the keeper.

Is it maybe a case of he has lost 22 games at Anfield that he’s maybe just a bit irked and snapped?

How Tarkowski stayed on is staggering, its a shocking follow through and Mac Allister was lucky his leg wasn’t planted.

Good Posts Paralex and APPS .. I thought Everton played well last night and gave the Pool a few problems .. yes a red .. he knew what he was doing ..

Yeah in today’s game it was clearly a potential leg breaker and I can only assume he was anticipating a proper old fashioned 50/50 but Macalister was clever enough to see the challenge coming.
Everton had at least two golden chances in the first half but Liverpool deserved the win and that result seals the title for me.
Slot knew it as well.
