If you could pick one former player, say from 2000 to last season who`d make us better and fit in the current system etc.
Who`d you pick?
C'mon Ye Pars!

In the last few years I’d go for Gibson or Dom.
Brewster a good shout though. Team crying out for an intelligent player who brings other into the game.

Nicholson would be a great shout. Top level midfielder that created chances and scored goals.

1 player would never make that useless team better but I would say 5 ex players
Andrius Skerla at back alongside Mullen
Midfield of Mason/Ferguson
Up top Brewster/Crawford
Add to this then Cardle AND the big Moffat playing in between midfield/up top. Moffat was a great player!
Well back to this ***** and Tidser football!

In the decent days if you had Doug Rougvie and Norrie at the back/ Paul Smith and Craig Robertson in midfield and John Watson with Gorge OBoyle up top.
On the wings Hamish French and Big Ivo Den Biemen..
The players in this current squad can’t even compare to the teams we had back then.

Geggan or falkingham to give us a bit of bite in the middle of the park. One thing is for sure neither of these 2 would accept the performance levels of some of the players currently.

Crawford made a huge difference when we got him on loan from Hibs, was a level above and we need goals...
Ian Ferguson would be my other shout. Absolutely dominated the middle of the park in the Championship.
Edit - Crawford and Kane would be a good partnership as well I think. Let’s hope the board/cook can make this happen!

Possibly a strange shout but watching the last two games I was thinking of Nick Phinn.
He wasn`t a world-beater but seemed to have a brilliant knack of timing a run well to arrive late into the box from midfield, causing a bit of chaos for the defenders, and possibly grabbing a goal.

Martin Hardie. He came to us when we needed him and steered us to promotion. Great positional sense, knew the right pass to make and from midfield could find the net. He was a man for the big occasion.
I would also give a shout for the big no 9 we got from Partick Thistle, Gerry Britten by name. He could certainly put it about. Bit of an octopus, arms and legs everywhere. Took 3 defenders to mark him, scored a good few himself and broke up defences.

Some awful suggestions here. Junior Mendes lol. He has a magic bubble around him at Paisley, the minute he came to us that bubble burst and he was awful for us.
Kozma, great as he was (on short bursts), he didn`t have it in him to roll up his sleeves for a lower division relegation dogfight.
No ex defenders or strikers/wingers. It would need to be a central midfielder who is in range of defence and upfront to command them.
Fergie or Nicholson.

Ian Ferguson for me. He was tough, not just feared by the opposition but by our own players as well.
He set high standards of professionalism which they had to raise their game to match.
Apparently, had Barry Nicholson by the throat after one game, for switching off at a throw in towards the end of a match we were cruising towards a win in.
That`s the sort of winners we need
