I like them too but canny see past big choc chip cookies. Some brands better than others. Asda have s box of 3 different kinds in their prime brand range. I find it hard to stop when I start on them.

Shortbread beats Hobnobs every day of the week.
The enjoyment of a cookie is correlated to it's consistency. Soft and fresh, it's the biscuit of kings but hard it's the biscuit of peasants.

Ordinary biscuits...Caramel Wafer, Orange Club and not had them in ages but a Classic, milk chocolate with cream in the middle...phenomenal.

Dunking a good biscuit is like puting milk or sugar in good coffee.
One should only dunk digestives or ritch tea.

I love a hob-nob, but they have hurt me too many times in the past due to bad dunking experiences.

Best dunker is a TimTam (Aussie Penguin). Shame they're so hard to find here and bloody expensive.
Though the humble chocolate Hob Nob (other brands are available) is a decent everyday dunker.

As an overall go-to I'm in the hob-nob crew but a Gold or indeed humble custard cream as an occasional variation are worthy of a mention.

Bourbon Creams for dunking especially because they loose their thickness and go soft and mushy.

I remember the days of breakaway biscuits when there was no biscuit, just chocolate. They have upped their game in manufacturing and I haven’t had a solid chocolate breakaway in years.

It's amazing how many folk think a Blue Riband is called a Blue Ribbon.
I'm away out to buy some biscuits for research sake after reading this :)

Gypsy creams were discontinued but re-emerged a few years later as romany creams. But I've never seen them for years now either.
I'm still mourning montego biscuits being discontinued.... Sad times ☹️

Words can't truly describe how miserable a cup of tea becomes when it has a foreign object floating on the surface...

True OzPar. A lemon puff on a side plate is preferred. I was never into dunking that much as I hated any pieces at the bottom of the cup, and before you ask, it was always tea leaves but I was always very careful not to get any leaves into the cup. Military precision.
