Shirt Sponsor 2007-2008

Date: Friday, 6th Jul 2007

The Purvis Group based in Lochgelly, Fife have agreed to extend their Shirt Sponsorship with Dunfermline Athletic for Season 2007/8.

Speaking on behalf of Dunfermline Athletic, John Yorkston, Chairman of Dunfermline Athletic commented “We are delighted that the Purvis Group have agreed to continue their sponsorship in this way and their support is greatly appreciated.

The initial Shirt Sponsorship deal was just for Season 2005/6, so for them to extend this for another season is excellent news.

The Purvis group have assisted DAFC in many ways over the last couple of years including help with payment for talent scouts fees, assisting us with the transition from our artificial pitch back to grass, essential ground works in and around the stadium as well as supporting a number of key events hosted by DAFC. We have developed a very good working relationship with the Purvis Group and I do hope that this will continue over many years.”

Bob Purvis from the Purvis Group commented “Initially we came on board as shirt sponsors in response to a personal request from Jim Leishman. “However we had already identified that the Purvis group of companies were achieving considerable growth throughout Scotland. Therefore the opportunity to partner our local team allowing us to advertise to a wider audience played a large part in our decision to renew the shirt sponsorship deal.

“There is no doubt that the relationship continues to benefit our organisation and we look forward to working with DAFC in the future. ”DAFC’s new home shirt, pictured above, will be in store from 21st of July in time for the home friendlies on the 24th and 26th against Bristol Rovers and Nottingham Forest respectively.

Pre orders for the strip can now be taken from DAFC’s club shop in Guildhall Street, Dunfermline.
