There have been ructions at Boardroom level at Firhill. Just as a business consortium is investing £1m in two tranches to own 20% of the club, the PTFC Chairman has been removed by the other Board members, with solicitors involved in response to social media allegations.
PTFC have had to make three official Board Statements in the last two days. More could follow.

There`s been trouble brewing for months between different fan groups - it seems to be about the direction the club (currently fan-owned thanks to Colin Weir) should be taking and the harsh financial realities of trying to run an aspiring Premiership club without private investment.
It all sounds horribly familiar ...

Both Alan Rough and Gerry Britton told no longer required by the existing board. Gerry had Ben CEO and Roughie heavily involved in hospitality.
How can any board believe cutting out 2 legends is the way forward?

Rough had also become absolutely toxic in his defence of the old board who were behaving disgracefully, there was no way he was staying after the fan ownership managed to get in.

Gerry was told he wasn’t required by the incoming board a few months ago.
Rough was possibly naive in comments about the new board and left them little option. A lesson in taking people with you from an inexperienced new board?
