 Half time competition

The performance of the first team yesterday was awful, but another thing that irritated me was the half time school competition. It was very clear from the first kick that the chance of success for the kids was slim to none. I spent the whole time hoping the organisers would move the starting position closer to the target, because it must have been so demoralising for the kids. Even when one was on target at a decent pace, it just rolled right over.

It was disappointing that the organisers didn`t call an audible during the competition, identify that it was far too challenging, and then switch it up a bit.

Hopefully for next week they make it a lot more achievable for the kids. I felt so sorry for the kids, as they had next to no chance of succeeding.

I totally agree with the above statement. I felt sorry for all of the children who took part.

I doubt any of our first team would have got one in the circle yesterday!

Joe Chalmers would`ve turned around and tried to pass it to someone in the main stand if he`d played that game yesterday.

If chalmers was trying to pass to someone I the main stand the ball would have ended up in the NW!

Back to being drenched in my own negativity….

Always good to see initiatives that gets kids involved, the one yesterday needs some refinement.
Also why do they have the kids playing in front of the empty NE surely it would be more of an experience for them playing in front of the NW and Norrie where the crowd would get more involved.

I’m in the middle of the North West and could only capture the game closest to me. The others were not visually easy to see. Agree to move them to the middle of the NW.
