Scott Brown will be raging at the goals Ayr lost.
I wonder if Allan`s corner was a training ground move, bypassing all the big guys in the middle for Hammy to sneak it at the back? It was a clean header but Kane looked as if he was in an off-side position and partially blocking the goalie`s view. No one protested though so it was probably OK.
For the second, McGinty`s first touch was shocking and Kane was very alert to nip the ball from him and his finish was clinical.

Was thinking that too Eck, same spot he picked out Benjamin last week. Ayr would have had us watched so that would have been picked up on, even more so it being on TV.
Failing that, a man on the post and it`s not going in - small margins as Brown said in his post match interview.

What happened with the Ayr keeper when we were awarded the indirect free kick in the box? Was hoping to see it in the highlights

Would have liked to see that again too as I didn`t see what happened.
Someone near me said at the time that he`d dropped the ball and then picked it back up again. Not something you see often.

He motioned to lob it from hand over our players heads but think he maybe changed his mind, dropped the ball then panicked and picked it up. To be fair he looked about 12......

Don`t see that very often. Remember Ruitenbeek doing it at Livingston but cannot think of seeing it in the flesh besides that.

Is it just me - or did Kane look suspiciously offside as the first goal went in ?
Maybe an Ayr player out of camera shot for onside ?
The second goal was Sunday pub league stuff from their captain !!!

I raised the possibility of offside in the first comment on the highlights. It could be Kane wasn`t in the keeper`s line of vision.

Indeed, I missed that previous observation - it looked as if Kane almost touched the ball - noticed the referee had a glance over at the linesman for reassurance.
