Little, A Tod and T Sutherland are part of the first-team squad. I suppose the younger players have to be kept match-fit too.

Yes, I think I know what you mean, EET, but 16 of the first team squad took part in Friday`s game. Only O`Halloran and Holmes from the bench took no part in either game. Breen, Comrie, Wighton and possibly Benjamin are injured.

That is a very strong reserve team , most have significant first team experience. One of the positive consequences of playing for such a long spell with so many first choices out injured !

Was that the 3-4 game at EEP, Jim? I think there was a crowd of over 4,000. The Pars had lost the first leg 1-0 at Parkhead, and we fancied our chances of overturning it at home. Celtic reserves had a bit too much for us in the end and no wonder.
Most of that side went on to play for Celtic`s first team and Scotland. They became known as the Quality St gang and included the likes of Kenny Dalglish, Lou Macari, Danny McGrain, Davie Hay, George Connelly and Paul Wilson....
Not your average Sunday League player.
