Gary Montignani`s comprehensive post-match analysis is now on COWS. He was disappointed by the first-half performance, heartened by the improvement in the second half but ultimately frustrated to lose a soft goal at the death. Although Hibs also fielded a young side they were mainly a wee bit ahead of our boys in their development. Everyone`s now looking forward to the Reserve Cup Final at Livi on Tuesday 23 April although he was giving no clues as to the likely make-up of the team for that one.

Taylor Sutherland looked the pick of the Pars players for me.
Looked a better team once his brother Jake and Ewan McLeod came on.
Pars 2 down at that point.
Despite the score Sam Young and John Tod in defence also caught the eye.
Well taken free kick from A Tod was missed by everyone and went straight in.
T Sutherland took his goal really well, if you haven`t seen it you can see it on the Centenary Club Facebook page.

Interesting to read Gary’s comments – he initially seems to be focusing more on shape when not in possession. My main comment was going to be that I thought that when we did have possession in the final third, with the opportunity to do some damage, we tended to try to play the killer pass quickly, rather than keep the ball. As a result we seemed to give the ball away too much, but we did score a good goal. Whether that is a good return I’m not sure, but it seemed in marked contrast to the first team.
