 Poor show from Pars...

Well, got to say it, the game at Airdrie was poor to say the least.
If we had won, we would have been right in the playoff mix.
From the Pars perspective it felt like a typical end of season game....nothing at stake !!!!.
We were out thought, out gunned and outplayed by a superior
Airdrie team.....they were good, we let them be good !!!
We struggled to string passes together, true the conditions
were poor.....same for both teams.....
Certain individual players seem to get a lot of stick,
most of Saturdays team needed a boot up the backside
Pushing for a playoff place, extra cash from games.
...you must be having a laugh.....It has not been a great season
Fortunately , our fantastic fans still follow the Pars.
Saturdays game should have been a hard, physical high press
Game⁷....rant over.......COYP.

You are not giving airdrie the credit they deserve,

The playoff run was over when they beat Raith.

Not really - a win on Saturday would have given us a good chance of 4th.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

Mathematically? Yes. Mentally? No.

The wind was taken out of the sails with that result.

I`d say McCabe is manager of the year in this division, he has his team punching above their weight, while playing entertaining football

Hate to say it but based on expectations at the start of the season surely the Rovers are the biggest overachievers so on that basis is Ian Murray not manager of the season?

Assuming they’re both in the same league next season (with ourselves hopefully), I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t finish above both of them next time.

Rhys McCabe at Airdrieonians deserves manager of the season.

Either will be heading to Livvy once they bump their current manager

I`d have thought McCabe would go to a bigger club than Livi eventually?

Ep.16 of East End Tales is out now with Steven Mill

McCabe will indeed have a lot of suiters. Done a great job at Airdrie on limited resources. There appears to be a great bond between the players and management, and they are very well organised.

Surely it`s the same for all successful managers that a bigger club will attempt to lure them? Aberdeen did it to us with Jimmy Calderwood.

I thot Airdries perfomance against Raith was the best i`d seen in the championship all season. Fair play to them, i think they have a real good chance of getting into the top flight. For that and given the funds at his disposal, by a long way Rhys Mcabe must be manager of the year.
As for us, i guess if we can finish the season well then it`s some progress, althogh small consolation. Play-off at the top end is therefore a minimum for next season.
