Game postponed due to waterlogged pitch again 5th time for dundee this season. Wonder how the spfl will intervene with all the backlash about there pitch and rangers recent statement.

Re-scheduled for next Wednesday; a spokesman for the SPFL said "There is currently an ongoing disciplinary process regarding pitch issues at Dens Park and the latest developments will form part of those enquiries."
Apparently Rangers suggested an alternative solution which wasn`t taken up. Maybe to award them 3 points?!!!

They could have played it last week when the pitch was playable, but The rangers refused to as they were playing Celtic on the Sunday.

Therangers will be most unhappy if Dundee fail to win at Pittodrie on Saturday and Hibs and/or Motherwell win their games, as this will mean Dundee must take points from their postponed game next week to ensure a Top 6 finish.
You can bet they`ll be on a decent bonus to achieve this. They might not make it, but it won`t be for a lack of effort.
Edit. I hadn't realised Hibs are playing Motherwell on Saturday. Realistically, a Hibs win will put more pressure on Dundee as Motherwell can only match Dundee's current 39 pts.
Not your average Sunday League player.

Dens Park has previous - a track record of postponed games, usually called off late and DAFC suffering more often than other visiting clubs.
I mind calling the ground one winter Saturday at noon where the weather was obviously a threat - the office girl told me the match was in no danger, the groundsman had assured her.
She didn’t appreciate my observation that the ground staff weren’t qualified or authorised to make game on/off decisions.
It was called off about 2:10pm with Pars fans on the road.

I remember that day VEE, I was completely stunned that the game was called off.
I recall some excuse was given that one area of the `balloon` covering the pitch had failed, and no-one had noticed.

Remember our game up at Dingwall. Called off (twice) because of snow, our bus just arrived at the stadium only to see the team bus passing us on the way out 😂

Interesting that Dundee are fined £200K for the state of their pitch, when sectarian chanting is ignored and the only fines have been from UEFA!🤔😲🙉

Can somewhat see the point in the fine. They signed about 15 players last summer. Had some of that money been spent on the pitch they may not have found themselves in the top 6 now.
