Friday saw Patrick turn up at Dalgety Bay to take on the Pars 18`s.
Dunfermline got off to a flyer with a well taken goal and were 2 up within 15 mins after a quicky taken free kick lead to a Pars penalty. The kick was well saved by the GK but he couldn`t keep out the rebound.
After that the Jags started to have more of the play and deserved to get one back before going on to equalise before half time.
At the break the Pars changed keepers.
There were no further goals in the 2nd half but The Pars possibly edged the chances created in what was a really good game of football.
There is no doubt in my mind some of them will make the grade.
John Tod is really comfortable on the ball with both feet and no slouch in the air either.
Liam Hoggan I admire too, seen him perform well at either full back position but impressed tonight in midfield.
Freddie Rowe has a good 1st touch and a physical presence for the age group and at times I seen a bit of Matty Todd in him with his late runs box to box.
FT 2-2

Thanks for the report, Bouncer. It`s encouraging to know that we already have a core of young players who can benefit from our new facilities. The future is starting to take shape, and it looks pretty good.

The younger Tod brothers are really well rated by a few people I`ve spoken to. Good solid DNA!

Seems like there are some good players coming through. The key appointment now needs to be the replacement for Grieg Shields.
Why was the game played at Dalgety Bay? I`d have thought the new facilities would have hosted this sort of thing

There was a Secondary school in Glasgow called Albert. When my dad asked me who my school team were playing on Saturday, I said "Albert" and he said " what about the other ten. I would ask the same about "Patrick."
