Got totally done in front of half way line and instead of setting a captain example to run back, just stood there and gave up.
He`s finished at this level.

He’s finished, been the weak link in the preseason and league cup games. No better today

Lost a good yard and he was never the fastest, has had quite a few injuries in his career and it catches up with you in the end. It’s either that or tools have been downed to highlight problems with mcpake or the lack of investment.
Really, needs some pace and game intelligence in beside him to help cover but we don’t have that, we have other injury prone defenders.

Got done once in the second half when the game was done but other than that played well. Breen though was all over the place - completely caught out of position for the second goal - playing a three leaves him too exposed though.

Personally I thought he played well? He`s not done at this level in my opinion

Demoralised manager and a demoralised team. The owners need to move out now!

Nonsense, thought Bene pocketed the big fella most of the game and he’s clearly a player. The reference to the spin on Bene was more good play I thought than anything, instead of holding up the ball as he knew Bene would be up his @rse as he had all game he spun it in behind him.

Thought bene had a good game too, and dare I say it Chalmers as well.

Chalmers was good when he came on.

Ironically I feel like Joe Chalmers isn’t the issue….

Someone said 917 on another thread but maybe a typo or just the Pars support?

Benedictus was mostly fine but was ridiculously out of position for the second goal leaving then all onside. Shouldn`t have been losing possession so easily and then cut open by one straight pass mind you.

Second goal was entirely down to Breen being caught in no man’s land between defence and midfield and the ball played in behind him - I was screaming at him before the ball was even played.

Our performance levels have dropped so much that chalmers looks like a decent player again. We’re seeing a league 1 team fighting it out in a big league. Last time we were in league 1 we ground out results against sides who had good spells against us but didn’t have the quality to score when it mattered, that’s us now.
Hopefully bene just needs games and will sharpen up fitness wise but he’s not had a good run of games for over a season so doesn’t bode well.
None of the other centre defenders fill me with confidence, fisher and breen haven’t shown enough and seem injury prone, we badly miss the likes of Walcott who had the pace to cover for bene and others.

Aye Breen stepped into midfield and left a massive gap.
Similar thing last time vs livi but that time it was fisher and bene stepping up and cove`s 2nd also but can`t remember the details of that one.
Backline aren`t operating as a unit and that spells disaster.
