A strange one for me last night, a season ticket holder in the Norrie McCathie for 20 years, who now works for Livingston. Firstly, the volunteers were superb in and around the ground, a really nice welcome. Also great to catch up with Ross at half time who has sat behind me for much of those 20 years at the matches talking all things football again.
Not seen much of my beloved Pars this season(other than against Livi) but I thought it was a superb performance. Seen much criticism and rightly so based off highlights so far this season but was impressed by a few things.
1) The high intense pressure from the front with real tenacity in the middle of the pitch. I thought Clay had an excellent first half, won many fouls and really put himself about. Dapo looked tricky in spells, needs games. Kane looked a real danger too.
2) Benedictus guiding Sam Young was pleasing to see. Can hear so much from the gantry and it was constant instruction and praise from Bene to Young which can only fill him with confidence.
3) Not saying Otoo shouldn`t have started but having more depth available will be important. Likes of Todd, Otoo, KRH, Cooper etc on the bench could really change tighter games.
4) A fit and active Wotherspoon could be a really good signing.
Was a strange one last night, can only base my predictions on what I see from a previously unbeaten Livi this season and the comments on here, I had the score as reversed pre-match.
Nice to be back `home` again, a huge 3 points for the pars which will hopefully be the start of something positive.
C'mon Ye Pars!

Cheers mate, was good to catch up with you too. You won’t miss me moaning for a full 90 minutes though! Shame your poor dad still has to put up with it - can only apologise 😂
Agree with your points. I didn’t expect much going into the game with Livi being unbeaten and the squad change, but was impressed at how we attacked them straight from the kick off. We had a scare in the first 5 minutes but took control afterwards.
McCann and Dapo were threats on the wing and Kane did not stop pestering the two centre halves. There was not one player who let themselves down last night in a Pars top. Sam Young could go on to have a tremendous career the way he has started. 18 years old and looks so composed.
I just hope we can show this more throughout the season and eliminate the fear of relegation once and for all. We have a squad capable of at least mid-table.
Delighted to see you’re enjoying the job and doing so well. I’m impressed you kept composure with the commentary, you genuinely sounded disappointed when the goals went in!
Hopefully catch up again at some point during the season if you get time off. All the best mate!

Last night was a great team performance and the second time we have picked up all three points, both wins were similar in that we came out and played on the front foot, much more aggressive and made the opposition make mistakes, this is what we want more of as fans.We have struggled all season to get the team selection right but hoping if we stay injury free,we can get a more settled team and go on a run,we simply have to as not out the woods yet.Scoring goals has been an issue however if we press like we did last night,I feel we have enough players with goals in them ,wins give players and fans confidence Hope the players got a lift from last night and go out with the same attitude against Patrick on Saturday .Was good to see Bene back and the senior pros such as Kane and Witherspoon doing there bit too.
Come on ye Pars!!
