We didn’t play Falkirk before Celtic in the league. Weekend was Hibs followed by a midweek St Mirren then the Celtic game. We were the only unbeaten team after the Celtic game. At least that is how I remember that season. It also went wrong as we played Rangers in the League Cup and lost 4-1, I think. Not sure who we played in the League Cup before that. Maybe Falkirk in that?

Many of the above but I`d include George O`Boyle`s first game at EEP with St Johnstone.
3-0, if I remember correctly, and him trudging off disconsolate near the end after they`d used both subs.

I`m jealous of Rusty, getting to see The Strokes. Is this it is one of the few albums without any skippable tracks (except maybe for Last Night as its been played to death).
To parsmad
We got Dundee back that season by pumping them 6-1 if I remember correctly. I think we were already relegated by then though.
My first game was in that season, Pars 4 morton 1, that`s maybe my favourite home game as it`s what got me into football. Before that all I cared about was my zx spectrum and my cousins c64.
Did we not beat rangers in the Scottish Cup that season? Jammy mark smith goal and a sherlock Holmes header I think. Rangers then beat us the following week 3 nil in the league. Strange what the brain remembers.
The days when tears followed relegation instead of apathy.

Couple of favourites for me...
1997 or so - Allan Moore scoring an extra time winner vs Hearts in the Coca-Cola cup.
1998 - The Faulconbridge game
There`s another game I remember kind of fondly too - in the Jimmy C era we lost a game 3-2 to Kilmarnock despite battering them the whole match and they scabbed a couple of late goals to win it. I remember feeling after the match that we`d been completely robbed, but I wasn`t that bothered because we played so well and the match had been fun to watch. Probably the most content I`ve ever felt after a defeat.

Hi Kozma, yes we beat Rangers that same season and the Dundee game 6-1 was a flood release because if I remember correctly, we hadn’t scored in the league that calendar year. That is why the Rangers game was even more surprising than it is now.
We weren’t down at that point. We were relegated by Dundee United in a 2-2 draw at Tannadice.

I`m not bemused at all. I was offered £300 for my ticket on more than one occasion on the way to the ground. To be honest I can`t really rationalise why I turned it down but I`m SO GLAD I did.
I wouldn`t blame or judge any pars fan who took the money though.

I turned similar offers down because being a young laddie at the time I assumed they`d take my ticket and run off (best case) or so something quite nasty to me (worst case) but i do know a few folk who flogged their tickets. We were going to stand behind the goals since it was the last game with the gerracing IIRC but ended up round in the corner next to the seated area since there were so many Celtic fans in the bit we had planned on standing at.

2nd January 1965 Pars 3-2 Hearts.
I was 6 years old. I’d been to games before then but that’s the first one I can remember with any clarity. We were 3-0 up with two minutes left and the invalid cars were trundling away when Hearts pulled two goals back.
The signs were clear even then that this was not going to be a straightforward love affair!

There was a midweek cup game vs Hearts when Derek Laing scored a volley to win late - always sticks in my mind
Clydebank 4-3 for all the obvious reasons
A 2-1 Celtic game where Ross Jack got the first and Kozma vs Anton Rogan got the 2nd :-)
Martin Hardie vs Rovers

Far too many but a stand out for me is when we won the first division beating the Wee Team in the Martin Hardie game then winning the league on a sunny day at Cappeilow before ending at EEP v Falkirk, celebrating in style by gubbing them & having the added bonus of next to no Babies in attendance (not from the club`s perspective tho haha)
Best run of games to win / celebrate a title EVER!!
