I am probably going to get crucified for this but here goes
I am a pars fan for over 50 years ran many supporters busses over that period but!
If we are to get to the next level we need to open our eyes and see that even players who are local and pars through and through like the fans on the terracing they are simply not good enough .
Tod.we maybe get 1 good game out of 7 and hides a lot .
McCann.simply doesnt have the skill sets can run all day looking busy ,makes more mistakes than not,but throws in a great goal here and then.
Hamilton,Cut this guy in half and you get DAFC .But he is a walking bomb ,lucky not to be sent off or booked more often, skating on thin ice.
I am all for locals playing for their team but unfortunatly this league is cut throat and as I say just my opinion we end up with three passengers because they are young local lads .

Todd didnt have best 1st half. Grew into game 2nd half. Personally thought Kane was worse. Tactics overall wrong sat too deep. 11 men in box defending set pieces is always going to cost us

Priceless Dotnet. We just drew 33 with the best team in the league when we expected a hammering, but he got the tactics wrong.
Maybe you should brief the new manager until he is bedded in.

Todd didnt “grow into the game” - he was anonymous for the whole time he was on - saved by scoring a pen.

I think if you were in charge it would have been a cricket score. We got a point. If we had been more adventurous and less defensive, I doubt we would have got anything less than gubbed.
I`m sure you know better though coach.

I agree that we are not good enough and we need to improve, quickly. It was a good result for us, but we were very fortunate with the penalties. We don`t create enough chances and our midfield is weak, but they fought hard as a team and that is a starting point.
I agree McCann is not the answer, he runs about like a headless chicken putting in a good shift granted, but his goals tally speaks for itself. Todd is a good player, but hasn`t reached previous heights since he recovered from his injuries, but I think once the team gets its confidence and a couple of wins under their belt he will come good again. Hamilton for all his perceived faults is the kind of warrior you want in the team, it`s a shame we dont have more like him.

The problem we have is whoever takes over the job if they aren`t getting backed in the transfer window then they have been left with a team with no pace and no width.
c'mon the pars

Ffs, I think most of us expected a doing, we fought, scored three and got an unexpected point.
Give the lads some credit!
McPake hasn`t been training these guys right, it`s obvious there`s been no intensity, it shows, it`s clear as day, that was never going to change in a few days. What tonight shows is that there are raw materials there that hopefully the new manager can turn into a team that survives in this league, then we can look to progress.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Todd also provided the best set piece delivery of the night - the one where the slightest of touches by Hamilton would have resulted in a goal.

I’m with Rigger Al on this, think we need to take any tinted specs off and really look at the team we have and challenge whether they are good enough and whether we can do better and we’ll find the answer is yes.
Firstly though, when you concede three goals at home I’m not sure how you can come to an assessment that we got our tactics right?
Bar one/two deliveries and ofcourse the penalty Todd was anonymous throughout. He’s not been the same since his injury, we can say this about KRH and Bene as well.
We need to give up on McCann, he’s had ample opportunity over many seasons now and he’s just not cutting it nor showing any real signs of improvement, lot of running and work ethic yes but quality wise just not there.
They all have the odd good game but lack any real consistency which is crucial, we need to stop treating them and assessing them as kids if we really want to take a meaningful step forward.
We’ll soon see if it is a tactical issue with the new gaffer coming in who may well bring the best out of our players but right now there’s only two/three names I’d try and retain from this squad next season if we’re fortunate enough to stay up.

Wasn’t Todd a full back last time we were in the championship? It’s amazing to think we can just stick him in midfield and that he’ll be good enough at this level. If only it was that easy. I’m not sure his best position, if any in a decent championship team.
McCann is the main benefactor of mcpakes refusal to sign decent attacking players. Gets a game based on workrate and lack of alternatives. On the face of it he has all the physical attributes but then you watch him play and realise the key attributes or even the basic attributes you need at this level are not there. Would say he’s a league 1 player but last time we were in league 1 he was the same, when wighton was banging them in at that level. Another with no obvious position.
I like Hamilton, lets the opponent know they have been in a game which is rare for a pars midfielder these days. He’s defo playing at the highest level he will though, just needs better around him so he can win the ball and pass it to the more creative players rather than being expected to be creative as he’s alongside 2/3 limited defensive midfielders.
Will be interesting to see how the new manager sets this team up formation wise we don’t have good enough or the right players to even play a basic 442.

I recon we got the tactics right because we were playing a much better team and took a point. We came close to taking 3 points despite being technically inferior on the day.
If you are so obviously technically inferior, but don`t lose - you got something right.
I also think it never ceases to amaze me how other teams get penalties due to applying pressure, but we are fortunate. To get them.
Had they not been awarded, it is Falkirk who would have been fortunate.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone claim anything about those mentioned that makes me think we’re all sitting with rose coloured spectacles on. The forums turn into a place of extreme negativity most of the time.
Todd has been poor lately - as everyone has said. He’s never been able to pick up from where he left off. When he was fit, he covered the ground much better than 95% of other midfielders in the league - that was his strength but again, he’s not been doing that since returning to fitness.
Hamilton is an absolute soldier for the cause. I’m not expecting him to turn into Busquets but by god that guy puts his body on the line. He’s the type of player every team needs. He’d be one of the first names on my team sheet every week but I’m not thinking he’s the best player in the team. He’s good enough for the championship and will fight tooth and nail for the club.
McCann has been getting negative comments on here since the start of the season (outwith Berkey - who’s being proved right btw) he’s got all the physical attributes but never seems to put them together. Again, extremely hard working but a bit of a donkey at times. He was actually better at it last night but I’m embarrassed for him every time he wildly mistimed his jump. As he’s such a tryer every so often he’ll stick it in the top bin from. 25 yards but majority of the time he’s a headless chicken.

Yeah spot on NMC, the McCann ‘free kick’ last night was another embarrassment, total powder puff effort that didn’t trouble the wall nevermind the goal but you remember he once scored one at Queen’s Park from distance and you think it’s been a year maybe this is the next one!
Has Todd been able to string 2 good performances together in a row in the 18 months we’ve been in the championship?
If we released Todd and McCann in the summer I’m not sure anyone bar maybe the promoted teams into this league would take them to enable to stay at this level? Todd has more chance but don’t think he’s any better than what most teams in this league have in thier squad and it’s proven most weeks.
Feels like we keep McCann around as our team lacks height and given the other forwards at the club struggle for fitness, workrate. It’s ironic if he’s in for his height as he wins very little and looks amateur at times in the timing of his jumps.

Maybe the teams overall football was not good to watch but they competed a lot more and tried to get the ball high up the pitch…I thought the lads were great after what has happened this week. 3-3 with our rivals who are aiming for the Premier…CHRIST Kane nearly lasted a whole game! Couldn’t have asked more from the team but there are things to improve on and fitness is one that can be done easily!

i thought Kane grafted a lot in the time he played .He was all over the park and a constant pain in the Ass for Falkirk defence ,Bet they were glad he went off .Maybe there is a understansing between himself and management the minutes he plays .I fell more comfortable ehen hes in the team for sure ,

I honestly thought it should have been cooper hitting that free kick last night 🤷🏻♂️
I’d keep Todd, think he carries a lot more potential than McCann but I think McCann needs to move on to progress - if he’s ever going to

Agree Kane is a real threat with his intelligent pressing, generally better positioning and the fact he’s always switched on to what’s happening on the park and anticipates mistakes and chances.
Kane will never out work McCann but you can see why he’s way more effective.
Cooper must have looked good in training for John to put him in on Friday. You could tell after about 15 minutes that he’s not a championship level player though.
