Out of these two who are looking most likely for the job who do you think would be more suited to the job.
I’m all for Murray purely down to the massive rebuild we are going to have in the summer. He can attract good players and has plenty of experience working in the championship.
As for Tidser, yes he has Kelty playing well and challenging in third place however McPake took us a whole season with 1 loss in the same league yet wasn’t capable of doing much in the championship. Tidser would be a massive gamble in my eyes and can he be trusted to rebuild a squad with a couple years experience?
The next appointment has to be spot on and for that reason I think Murray would be the best bet.

I would like to think we as a club are a bit more adventurous than to settle for tidser tbh..
He has yet to prove himself in any way as a manager and I seriously think that`s just a side ways step from mcpake. We need a manager who is capable off getting us up the table just now and hopefully into the play offs at least next season and I don`t think he is the calibre of manager to do that for us.

Murray is by far the better candidate of the two. He kept a struggling Dumbarton in the Championship first season, then achieved their highest finish in his 2nd season(was known as the First Division back then). He also laid the foundations of the Airdrie team that got promoted from League One, and finished 2nd with the Rovers last season. (For balance his spell with St Mirren didn’t go well)
Tidser is at the start of his career but hasn’t really achieved anything yet.
If you were picking one of the two, Murray would be ahead based on achievements and experience.
But anyway, good luck to Tidser.

Has to be Murray surely? He’s unemployed, got a good deal of experience, something to prove and some of his signings were quite good for the wee team.
What is the reasoning for Tidser?

I can`t think off any positives to why tidser would be picked before murray tbh.. stats amd cvs answer the question in my opinion.
Common sense says murray is by far a better and more experienced manager

Got to be Murray out the 2.
Would make no sense to pick Tidser over him.
But we are talking Dunfermline here...

Out of the 2, it has to be Murray…..I’m staggered that it’s rumoured not to be

I`ll say it again :
Why not Tidser?
I mean, with the current players and the unfit, disorganised mess McPake has left us in, we look closer to dropping down a division than staying up, if we do go down we have someone in place that can negotiate at that level, if he works a small miracle and keeps us up he deserves a shot at the rebuild,no?
Given our finances and thr club being in limbo he`s one of the more sensible names being mentioned.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Surely buying someone out of their current contract is not viable given what you`ve just said about the club`s finances?

So your rationale is for us to get relegated - great logic 🙄

Unfortunately due to the fact Murray signed a new contract with the Rovers which was on improved terms, he is still currently getting paid his severance pay monthly which would stop once he got another job
His next job would have to match or be very close to what he is currently being paid for him to take it due to the fact he still has a least 8-9 months left on that severance pay.....
