It would appear that Michael Tidser is destined to become the new Dunfermline Athletic manager, their fifth in four years.

So this is just a quick show to zip through why this seems a prudent appointment even if it comes with a level of trepidation.

It is one last therapy session of the year as we probe for a reason why Dunfermline Athletic has been so dreadful this calendar year and whether a new manager, a new board and a new optimism is unfounded.
