29 years already? A great player and a sad loss. Up there beside other illustrious Pars` skippers like Roy Barry. Perhaps Bene is potentially one of the closest we`ve had since the days of John Cushley?

An absolute Pars legend. Both him and Mandy were lost too soon. I was just a kid but still remember it. I remember my gran getting a carbon monoxide detector thing added in her living room after it.

There was definitely a reserve match at East End. Monday night I think. All sorts of rumours were going round. Remember the feeling of dread listening to my clock radio the next morning confirming it on the news.

Was definitely the reserves, can remember all the reporters outside East End as we left the game
