Will be fascinating to hear from them about their vision and plans. I was a firm believer in the Germans approach and how wrong was I, so hoping that we get some stability, focus and a lot more communication now.

The open letter to the fans, sounds fantastic. Hopefully, it turns out the way that they hope.

Dear Pars Fans,

It is with immense pride and excitement that we write to you as the new custodians of Dunfermline Athletic. We are honoured to step into this role at a club steeped in history and tradition. We are fully aware of the privilege and responsibility that come with this, and our commitment is to honour the legacy of those who came before us while striving to leave the club in a stronger position for future generations. We must thank the previous owners for the stable financial position the club is in currently, and we appreciate the smooth handover throughout this process.

From the very beginning, we’ve prioritized communication and transparency as central to our approach. We met with the Supporter Liaison Officer on our visit to the club in November, and deeply value the importance of maintaining an open dialogue with you, the fans. Going forward, we are determined to nurture this relationship, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration that reflects the spirit of Dunfermline Athletic.

Our vision for the club is both ambitious and long-term. We aim to build a team that not only competes at the highest level but also inspires pride on and off the pitch. We want every fan to feel connected to the club and proud of the journey we embark on together. There is no quick fix, and we know there will be both highs and lows full of emotion, but with your continued support we are confident about the path we are taking.

You may have heard about our backgrounds in data analytics and artificial intelligence, and we are big believers in the impact this technology can have across the club. From player recruitment to sports science, we see huge potential to enhance our operations and gain a competitive edge. Working closely with our highly qualified backroom staff, we’ll be implementing these tools to support smarter decision-making and ultimately help the team perform at its very best.

As private individuals, we prefer to let our actions speak louder than our words. Whilst we may not be based in Scotland, be assured we are highly committed and our focus will be on empowering those in key decision-making positions.

We want to thank you for the warm welcome we have already received. Dunfermline Athletic holds immense potential, and we are genuinely excited about what the future holds,

With our very best,
James Bord & Evan Sofer
Co-Owners, Dunfermline Athletic Football Club

It`s a positive statement. Clearly there is an advantage to showcase the new technology in practical terms within the football arena. As a city now the potential fan base that brings, and the past history of the club there are opportunities for those with the vision to take the club back to the top flight and even punch above its weight. A younger manager may be open to new ideas, and I suspect that is why we have gone the head coach route, leaving more of the decision making around the general management of the club to others. I think you have to be fair to GBMH with respect to their input over the last few years and take it in the direction that it needs to go in terms of a youth development system and training ground. These are fundamentals of any club looking for a sustainable and successful future. The AI tools and analytics no doubt will be woven into the fabric of that approach.

Communication will be key

This is great - I`m looking forward to see what these guys can achieve. The fact they are committing to engagement and inclusion of everyone involved in the club, fans particularly is a great start. I too am excited about what the future holds. COYP

The co-owners hold 99.84% of the shares in the club. I wonder how they got that past the SFA?

Great opening message!

I wonder if Tidser will have money available for a few players? I`m not expecting huge transfers but money for a few new players wages.

We really need some energy pumped into the squad as we are in a perilous position. Maybe even offer severance packages to some of the deadwood if affordable.

New era with the owners and manager. ‘No quick fix’ is realistic. I just hope some of the more short sighted fans have patience to remain onside for the longer term benefits. I fear some will expect things to turn around dramatically too soon however

That`s good to hear.

If there is a football God, I pray to thee that this actually works out for us this time. No more fake promises. I`m not a greedy man but please dear football God, give me (and others that need it) a wee bit of happiness. Amen

Might all be dependent on their stakes in the other club. And the possibility of both clubs being in the same European Competition at the moment are very minimal. I suppose this is why they have to go to the SFA about it.

Fan ownership has come to an end now with their stake, lets hope this investment pushes us forward now.
