Park on the road rather than the car park next to the ground parallel to the car park.

Will get away a little sharper

C'mon Ye Pars!

Worth mentioning the car park whilst good costs 4 or 5 quid to park. I`ve always used it as just convenient but there`s parking in the estate around if needed. Area can get quite congested as roadworks last game there.

No roadworks on main road in from the M8, drive it 4 times a night, but there may be a few trees down before/after Chapelhall. The Baynes in town centres closed tomorrow due to falling bricks from buildings.

I was wondering about the weather as well.Do not want a game being a lottery, due to gale force winds.

According to my bbc weather app the wind is supposed to be easing late morning and cold / sleet / sunshine is replacing it (in both Dunfermline and Airdrie). I guess however it depends on any damage to roads en route / in Airdrie itself.

I think the main risk is damage to stadia. Arbroath`s game is off for that reason and there has been damage at Celtic Park they hope to fix by tomorrow. Cappielow has also suffered damage but Morton are away tomorrow.

M90/M8 to Airdrie will be fine, as I said only issues with trees will be the road from the M8 to the ground through Chapelhall as a couple of areas have large wooded parts next to them. Wouldn’t risk the back road through Rosyth and M80 even though I will most likely have to go that way tonight 😂

Buffy, that was more of my concern as in damage caused ,a number of clubs have reported structural damage to stand roof ,and areas around their grounds ,

Aye I read that Arbroath have already cancelled their game the morn v Kelty for safety reasons, and Cappielow has had part of the Cowshed roof blown off (albeit they’re away to Queens Park).

Celtic seem to suffer more than most in high winds - the old “jungle” roof was nearly airborne back in the big blaw of ‘68 and had to be hastily sorted for our visit a couple of weeks later.

Taller stand, so I suppose that`s more likely to be damaged by high winds

About an hour ago I checked AA Route Finder on my phone to get a better idea of how long it would take. I was on my PC just now and checked again for some reason and noticed on the map it wasn`t all on the M8. It`s saying come off of the motorway after Whitburn and take the old B road through Kirk o Shotts etc.

I don`t know why, hopefully just a temporary thing and over nearer the time. If not, should only be an extra seven minutes.

From club facebook page 4 mins ago

“Good afternoon from a snowy Airdrie!

The pitch is playable and we are aiming for a 3:00pm kick off, if the pitch can be cleared in time. We will update supporters with any further news.”

The best place to park is outside of Universal Studios Florida. Tremendous fun but I don`t think my wonky heart could handle the craziest rides anymore. Nice place to have a heart attack though, going out having fun.
