Looks like that will be the end of the pyros.
Several charged, including a 13 yr old boy who was also charged with police assault.

shouldn`t be a thing anyway. it is illegal already to take them into a football stadium. These charges will make no difference to them being snuck in.

Surely folk will think twice before setting them off, now they know there will be consequences.

at that age a slap on the wrists and no pocket money for a week. altough slapping wrists is probably now banned so a gently worded telling off and half an hour less screentime is probably more realistic.

"There’s always been consequences."
Only if the police take positive action rather than standing around - this is not a new problem in the NW.
If found guilty the club can take further appropriate action, assuming their names are divulged to the public.

The club have already dealt with individuals prior to these new cases.

Guessing their season tickets have been blocked now and the section will be quieter for the next big home game? 🤔

With 13 arrests, sounds like they’ve done that, VVE? Maybe they don’t move in at the time but round up after the game?

I must have missed that Buffy - apologies.
What action was taken, and were they named and shamed ?

Why would they be named and shamed? The club have dealt with them on a professional level.

Whole raft of Dunfermline kids in hoodies running down the road after the game, sounded like they were trying to confront the Livvy fans only to bottle it and run away.

The club seems to have dealt with it as well as the police correctly, these are not future TV Pars fans we are losing here, just wee fannies you get in every town, they will probably be at Kiers Park or some other ground next week!
No need to name and shame, and am against that anyway, almost certainly will be minors, and the last thing we need is another bunch of pitchfork warriors, there`s plenty of that already!

Where are you seeing 13 arrests SeasonedPar? Reports were 4 arrests 2 aged 13 (one for assault of police officer) as well as possession of pyrotechnics and 2 aged 16. Plus was no detail as to whether they were home or away fans.

Original post said several arrests, including a 13 yr old. Maybe that’s where I got 13 from! Must wear my specs !

Why should they remain anonymous - and what action has the club taken ?

The police assault happened outside the ground. Assault is a strong word but nevertheless. The boy was found with 2 flares, was from Bathgate and was told "get picked up or we`ll cart you home".
Police were very reasonable then all of a sudden he lashed out and was on the deck with 4/5 officers on top of him.

With the NW empty the damage was evident. I struggle to see what vandalizing your own stadium achieves?

I heard last night that a young boy had to go to A&E on Saturday after suffering a very nasty burn from a pyrotechnic at the Rovers game. not sure if he was a victim or a perpetrator.

I reckon the "your own stadium" observation is debatable, as others have alluded to.
Most likely temporary fans who make an appearance for the visits of Falkirk and Rovers simply to act like the numpties they clearly are and also like to associate with.
No loss to the club if they Foxtrot Oscar permanently.

Not convinced it was deliberate vandalising, I can see a scenario where when we score the boys fall over each other celebrating and the chairs take an accidental hit, they are a bit flimsy, I’ve never had an issue with mine but I’ve never really whacked mine with any force to try it out.
The pyrotechnics, throwing coins and some of the vile that comes out of their mouths at players though is unacceptable and inexcusable.

Surely they cant be fans that turn up for 4 games a year, given that nearly the entire NW is season ticket only? 🤔

I will sound like a broken record, but these arrests should also involve supporters in the away end.
The NW has their share of idiots but there are idiots in the away end too when we play against the Rovers and Falkirk.
The boy that threw the seat on the pitch was ridiculous. That could have caused serious injury.

One of the lads arrested was from Bathgate. Not a red flag per se but the fact it doesn`t happen too often outside of Derby days shows you there is 100% an element that doesn`t support the club and only goes for the big game day trouble.
Whilst a majority of NW is season tickets, since they opened up the new section there`s plenty of "seats" for sale which they can buy to then stand in the section.
The two seats next to me in section K have never over the past three seasons had anyone in them despite being sold to ST holders. They just buy tickets anywhere to stand in the section.
