had an email from an Author looking for thoughts and memories while he played at different clubs
Quote:
My name is Wayne Barton, an author and producer based in Manchester. I specialise in books about Man Utd, and have written over 20 on the club - including family authorised biographies of George Best and Duncan Edwards.
I’m writing to you today as I’m writing a different kind of biography - of Sir Alex Ferguson, but focusing on his playing days. I’m trying to track down players who played with and against him, and supporters of the clubs he played for.
if you have information feel free to post here or drop an email : author@fife.co.uk
the email will get forwarded to Wayne

I have several vivid memories of Sir Fergie, also stories from other fans in the know - like the away Euro tie when he fronted a player revolt to get a better win bonus if the Pars went through.

Saw him make debut Airdrie away league cup 1964, he scored in a 4-1 victory.
Hibs at home flowing Wednesday. Early on he sets off on a far from elegant canter, all elbows and knees, ends up in a heap, and the old guy in front of me says “ Nah, that’s no a Dunfermline man” Not long after a Fergie header flashes into the net..that’s the way he won any doubters over!
