That seems our only likely way of staying up.
Punt Tidser, get Lanzarote John in until end of season and watch us actually play football and win games.

Aye he didn’t want the job full time but surely until the end of the season given the way things are going.
If we were to sack Tidser and replace him with John tomorrow I reckon we’d have enough to stay up. It’s as simple a choice as that.

Not trying to be funny but surely Tidser had a wee talk with Lanza John when he took over the team??
As a manager coming into a role you talk to existing coaches etc??

Do you trust Tidser to rebuild this team over the summer given who he’s brought in for a relegation fight?
I think we have something like 5/6 players signed up for next season and the rest apart from Comrie should be nowhere near the club.
If Tidser is the man to bring players in then god help us.

Tidser isn’t responsible for recruiting players, he is the head coach only.

Lanza John is now the first team coach - poor results and poor play are just as much on him as Tidser and the team!

That is correct, Park Bench and Cook decide what players are signed. Tidser apparently has no say in it. Our club is one big experiment.

How have the board absolutely messed up another appointment. Tidster is out his depth, crap manager from a crap league and a crap team. Get him gone, there will be no transfer money in the league he is taking us to anyway.

You’re just been told it was James Bord that identified the new manager. Unfair to tar the board with that brush, we’re now entirely owned by 2 people, like it or not our board now have literally no say in things

100% this is what should have happened. Everyone in the squad would have known how the team was expected to play, they would know what their job was, and he would have played to the strengths of the players he had.
Cannae see Dick getting told he has no say in the players the algorithm brings in though

FFS!!! The guy has only been in the door for a couple of months and has inherited not only a bad squad, but a bad atmosphere too. Who really knows how many of the players that came in were anything to do with him?
We may not be flying up the table but we`re not getting pumped and are still within touching distance of 8th). Let`s see if he keeps up up (even if it`s via a playoff,I`ll be happy with that). Then we get the pitch fixed as it`s a bloody disgrace (is it being rented out to farmers during the week?), perhaps it`s time for new groundskeeping staff to come in (I`m no expert mind but come on, it`s an eyesore and not suitable for a full time club).
A summer of clear outs and new signings aimed at solely going for top 4 with winning the league being the ultimate goal and let`s see what happens. If it fails it fails, I`ve no doubt he`ll be shown the door if it all goes pear shaped.
This season is a write-off. The aim is to finish above 9th or win the playoff and start with a fresh slate next season. It`s a pity that it`s looking more and more likely that F*lkirk will be going up as champions. No, I won`t applaud then,I hate them, and songs about our illustrious leaders death drive me mad.
Time will tell.

By the way it was John Colquhoun who pushed Tidser as the new manager, he’s been advising the new owners on all things Scottish football.

Kozma you say he inherited a bad squad and bad atmosphere.
When he took over we hadn’t long drew 3-3 with Falkirk and won 4-1 away to Partick.
The squad isn’t all bad, the way we are being made to play is what’s causing most of this.
In the games how many chances did we create? how exciting was the football? They games seem a lifetime ago with the crap on display now.

I’m no having James Bord was sitting in his gaff in America and went ‘that lad from Kelty plays some cracking football, let’s go and get him’. Yes he’s made the final decision but clearly been advised, wrongly.

His company literally scopes players and managers based on data all over Europe, can be sitting in Timbuktu. John Colhougn clearly appointed him with Cook and Bord. We’ve literally had the rumours confirmed

John is still there, but I heard on good authority that he didn`t want the job. Shame, as I`d have taken him in a heartbeat until the end of the season. Those 3 games under him are probably the best we have looked all season.

………Offer to buy John a place in Lanzarotte, it would be cheaper than going down.
We had a bit of fight & unity about us under John.
Our present situation has relegation written all over it.

Unfortunately I don’t think getting LJ back would miraculously change our fortunes. LJs record was 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat I think. Our last 6 in the Championship under Tidser is 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Basically the same. I think we’re just paying for the lack of investment in the first team by the previous owners. The football has been pretty turgid for years under Grant, Hughes, McPake and now Tidser. The squad needs proper investment.

SteviePar, Lanzas johns three games were against Falkirk (top), Ayr (2nd top) and partick (who until we went there and cuffed them were unbeaten at home. Tidser has had us beaten by Hamilton and Airdrie. The detail of the comparison does not show favourably towards Tiddler.
