I just had the misfortune to click on to Sky Sports Mix to see some new nonsense they have on there, which is a live Draft Show for this thing called the UK Baller League. It`s got some famous ex players as managers but also some of those stupid YouTuber types. The players they are picking from are all either without clubs or playing their trade in the 6th/ 7th/ 8th tier of English football but still dining out on how they were in the Chelsea/ Man Utd/ West Ham Academy. No idea what it`s going to be like but it looks like it`s going to be like some rubbish reality 5 a side show.
Most of the players seem to be off the double barrelled name variety, no doubt talented but burdened by their bad attitude, which is why they are either no playing or playing at the level they are
Dunno where they picked the players from but it`s looking like they have been picked by the same random player generating software that has lumbered us with our January signings

What`s with the return of the snobbery about double-barrelled names? Thought that nonsense was over with.
Anyway, just solidifies the demise of Sky Sports as a proper sports channel and the move into sports adjacent entertainment. To be fair, 90,000 tickets were sold within 3 hours for that Sidemen match at Wembley, and Netflix do good numbers with Drive to Survive and Unchained etc, so obviously that`s where the viewers and ad revenue is at.
