That`s interesting. I think he`s a good manager too but the fact is QP have only won one of their last 9 league games which is presumably why he has been sacked.
(Incidentally a thread was started about this early on Saturday evening).

The fact they are mid table in the league, brought in between 300-400k for the cup run , gave their fans one of the greatest days of their supporting lives ,and gets binned , strange.

I can’t believe people are advocating for him - Queen’s Park are the only team in the league playing football as negative as ours - and creating even fewer chances than us.

But more points than us and with more chance of winning any remaining games than us.

He knows the league
He’s still young as a manager but he’s got experience
He’s pragmatic rather than sticking to one “philosophy” - whatever that’s supposed to mean btw
He’s won silverware as a manager
He ticks a lot of boxes for me
So does Murray as well tbf
This Tidser thing isn’t working

I think Davidson would be doing better than Tidser.
Three managers currently available I’d take;
1. Kettlewell
2. Murray
3.Davidson
Sadly, I think we’ll have Tidser into next season.

I’d be ecstatic if we were to announce Kettlewell would be a massive coup. He would be a man I trust to rebuild the squad in the summer.
Can’t shake the fact he’s been at our last 3 games, it’s certainly not because he enjoys watching us. Possibly checking out the squad who knows. Add that to the fact we’ve not heard a peep from the club/manager since Friday night.
Still expecting some kind of announcement to say he’s resigned over the next few days.

We should move for this man immediately. Levels above anything we have right now. Massive mistake by Queens. Their fans are not happy about the decision.

Who started the story/rumour that Kettlewell has attended our last 3 games? Has anyone else confirmed it?
It could easily be a case of mistaken identity, or he`s a friend of a director, and doesn`t necessarily mean that he`s about to be announced as our new Head Coach, given we have one in post.

It could be as simple as a mate of Tidser. They had a short spell together at Ross County.

I literally bumped into him at Morton game when he was going into the main stand, saw him at Falkirk game too. I never actually seen him on Friday but it’s been mentioned by a few they seen him in the main stand.

Not overly sold on davidson, obv did amazing in winning the 2 cups but haven’t seen a lot of evidence of him building a good team in the 10 years he’s spent as assistant or manager. Queens very much a one man team so always going to struggle once dom left and Davidson unable to bring in anyone to improve them.
We might struggle to get a decent manager in if Tidser leaves, they will be expected to have little to no input on signings and will be lumbered with a lot of young loans to try and mould into a decent side, what we have seen repeatedly is you just won’t get away with it in this league.

The team is going to be unrecognisable next season.
Only a handful of players still in contract and you wonder how many of them will be told to leave?
Mehmet, Bene and McCann, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were told to find new clubs.
Might even be the case we start with a squad of only, Bray, Sam Young, Mullen, Ngwenya, KRH, Todd, Kane and Connor Young.
Massive rebuild job.

Agree ahoy, it’s only an option of the further year for McCann and surely this time he’s used up all his lives so will go. Bene I can only see staying if we go down, otherwise he’ll be free to seek out a longer deal elsewhere. Mehmet will be the same, he’s only making the first team if we go down.
We have no idea of what the budgets will be, you would like to think they will be decent but if they stick with whatever policy brought in the Jan recruits it might not matter how big the budget is.
Apart from Mullan I don’t see any the loans we’ve had this season being identified as possible signings.
Comrie the only one I would be happy to see stay but with bray it might not make sense to keep. Tidser doesn’t fancy ngwenya so he’ll be away it’s Tidser still here.

Heard a few Caley fans mention Bray can also play right wing and a few other positions. I know he’s primarily a right back and although I’d be happy for Comrie to get a new deal it wouldn’t make sense in place of Bray. It also depends on what league we’ll be in next year like you say.
Benes pace has gone and unfortunately I think this will be his last season.
January recruits have been terrible, apart from Mullen who has been a stand out and Connor Young who I believe will be a good player for us in the future. Stevens showed promise in his debut against Raith I think it was but hasn’t kicked on and IMO was terrible on Friday.

Connor Young has not impressed me at all. And that is an issue. Top scorer in Scotland -natural talent and isn’t being given a ball to kick - why can’t we go forward then wide and then into the middle. About a dozen shots on target in 10 games ( I’ve made that stat up - just feels like it) come on Pars. It can’t all be the managers fault.

I always remember Dunfermline being a high paced, get it wide and get crosses in type of a team but it feels like years since I’ve seen it.

Connor Young hasn’t been given any service when he’s been played.
Think once he’s given a decent run and we actual at create chances for him he’ll be a good player for us and score plenty.
It very harsh to criticise a young striker in a team which doesn’t create any chances.

I’m thinking it’s harsh to criticise most of the January signings.
I really think Steven’s could be a player but he looks lost.
Also have hope for Young, he looks a little like a throwback to a traditional 9. Will be good to have if we do start playing with 2 up top.
Mullen is a gem of a defender.
Oakley-Booth or whatever his name is, is a real disappointment so far. Disappointing because it’s easy to see from a couple of flashes he could be so much better if it wasn’t for his attitude. He should be playing much higher but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up working in Screwfix (aye, I’m stealing that one Berkey)

Back to the chat about Davidson or Kettlewell...
If there hasn`t been a formal announcement / title given to Colquhouns role, and Tidser is always badged as a `Head coach` (rather than Manager), if they fancied it is there an opportunity to bring one onboard in a additional coaching role?
Could label it as lessening the volume of workload of Tidser / supporting him. Would allow the club to get someone in without sacking anyone.
