Dunfermline Athletic can confirm that Vice Chairman Billy Braisby has stood down from the club board.
Billy has had a long connection with DAFC following the club since childhood. He joined the board in 2014 before becoming vice chairman in 2016.
Billy played an instrumental role in helping to re-establish the club commercially following the exit from administration in 2013. Along with building out the stadium advertising programme, he has been integral in the club’s events calendar with fundraising nights like the Black and White Ball, Sportsman Dinners and Golf Days. He has also stood on many fundraising committees associated to the club.
Billy also supported the grounds team in their maintenance of KDM Group East End Park and the establishment of the Rosyth Training Centre, using his decades of experience in the building and roofing trades.
Commenting on this Billy said: “My personal circumstances have changed dramatically over the last couple of years and I’ve taken the decision to retire from the board of directors to allow me to focus on other things. After 11 years and with the recent change in ownership I felt that this was the right time to make this decision. I’ve supported the club all my life and will continue to do so from the stands. It’s a truly exciting time for the club and I’d like to wish the club and new ownership group success and to achieve our aim of becoming a Premier League club once again”
The Board of Directors would like to thank Billy for all his great work over many years and wish him all the best for the future.

His wife sadly died a couple years back and I’m sure that had a major role in his decision. Billy along with others helped the club dramatically over a long years.
I’d thank him and I’m glad he’s said the club seem to be in an exciting chapter

Or more to Cummings?
Doesn’t look like that is an option.
