 Cooper and Stevens

If they can decide who is going for what ball and work on a double act - one each side of the box and not getting in each others way - they are our way to goal … either directly or with passes/crosses. Techically Very good.
I’ve also been delighted by Raymond. Great feet and sprint speed. How high can he jump? Amazing.
I think Lenny has gone with physicality in the first half of his games. Let’s take it to Queens park with the width of Hampden. Speed and good feet for this game coming up. I don’t know how it could set up…. Can he fit in three of four of Raymond, Stevens, Cooper and Todd ?

Stevens has, so far, failed to show that he has any end product.

Have to agree with DA-go, Steven’s for all his good footwork and looking comfortable on the ball, is yet to pick out a man in the box and his decision making is woeful. I’d still start him ahead of Yeboah though obviously.

I`d play O`Halloran ahead of both of them.

Honestly why don’t teams play with fast wingers who can’t deliver a ball into the box for the front 2 to attack nowadays…
Ivo den biemen/hamish french/kenny ward with strikers up top just to put the ball in the back of the net??

Stevens doesn’t create any chances at all. He isn’t gonna fix the issue.

Had a decent debut against Raith and has pretty much done nothing since. I agree a fit MOH starts ahead to both of them.

Everything Stevens does is with his head down, which means end result is always the same and has zero awareness of where his teammates are. Expected a bit more from someone supposedly high thought of at rangers.

Kinda suprised at the praise for Raymond, was a passenger on sat, didn’t fancy the physical battle and showed nothing to suggest he’s capable of playing wide for us.

Cooper seems as good an option as we’ve got, very direct, an eye for goal and a more dangerous player than the very ineffectual Todd.

There’s no real width in the team, we have players who can be put on the wings but they are very ineffectual and don’t create anything.

It’s got so bad that we’re hoping for the return of players who haven’t contributed anything this season like KRH in the hope that they can suddenly do a turn for us.

Think Cooper deserves more minutes. Not sold on Stevens at all. Lack of composure, decision-making is poor and most of all, his final ball isn`t great.

I’d like to see a fit Todd and Cooper double act. Nobody covers ground like Todd but Cooper seems to have a bit more creativity than Todd. Not sure how you could make it all fit tho 🤷🏻‍♂️

I actually think they’re 2 players in squad who could play championship football. I was questioning Todd under McPake/Tidser but since NL has come in, he’s getting back to where he was.

Bit weird to call Todd ineffectual when we look a better team when he plays, is the only midfielder who wants to get beyond the strikers, chips in with a decent number of goals, is one of the few with any legs in the team and was doing all those things for Otoo`s goal on Wednesday.

I like Cooper, I`m not sure if he`s still our second top scorer or if Otoo has overtaken him but on a goals per minute basis he`s right up there. Has a decent delivery and is at least direct
Stevens on the other hand has flattered to deceive after the initial good debut. Ever since then, his only attitude seems to be that he`s marginally less terrible than Yeboah. He seems to want to beat a man then go back and beat him again, makes runs into all the wrong areas and doesn`t have a final ball on him. To think we used to consider Fraser Aird a bad Rangers loanee. At least he had a bit of pace and could get us up the park.

I think Todd has done OK in the last two games considering he is just back from injury and is having to get up to match fitness by playing without the opportunity of any reserve football. Two games in three days probably didn`t help him and he faded a bit in the second half.

I think Cooper is a good impact sub but he`s a bit lightweight for me which means he`s a bit of a luxury as a starter.

Todd`s delivery on Saturday was diabolical.

There was a lot of clever footwork and short passing from each of them on Saturday that when coached right could make a difference. Coopers corners were decent in the main. I also noticed in the first half ( I was in the Norrie near the tunnel so cant comment on the 2nd half so much) our defenders were a lot calmer on the ball - beating a man, taking a turn and then looking for a pass in the 18 yard area width wide much more than less recent times.
