You heard it hear first. He`ll have a bit of help from Tobi, Kane, Mullen and Wanyama in the last 2/3 games, but Matty Todd will be the main man. F**k the seaside league, we`re staying up. š

If we stay up we could really be flying next season, with Lenny in charge and Chris Kane, Connor Young and Keith Bray to choose from up front, and that`s excluding any summer signings!

This is why the end of this season feels a really pivotal moment for the club to me, possibly more so than the last time we went down.

If we stay up I think weāll 100 percent be challenging top end of the table with some good players brought in.
If we go down however we are not gonna be attracting a good class of player and the squad will resemble something similar to the now.
I hope to god we stay up and itās that route we take.
Matty Todd aināt gonna save us, the only man who can keep us up is Kane.

If we go down, I am quite sure the owners will do what is required to get back to where they want to be. I am certain relegation is part of their risk assesment.
They wont need to buy worldbeaters to get out the 3rd tier. They will take on enough quality to do the job and hopefully state their cases for a place in the following years team.

If we do get relegated, players like Kane, Todd, KRH, Clay, Otoo, Ngwenya will be good enough for League One - with the addition of Bray and a few others I think weād be alright.
If we stay up then more quality will be added.
Really canāt call it with the remaining fixtures. Feel like Airdrie are the form team. And QP currently on the worst form of the 4. Win on Saturday is imperative.

believe we will have enough to be safe (without the playoffs) but I wont be pinning my hopes on it being Todd thats the saviour. One of the worst players on the park a few times earlier in the season with the performances like Thistle away very much the exception

I just donāt want us going down and signing players on 2 years deals for example, and while they may be good enough for league one, if we got promoted weād be in same position with players under contract who arenāt championship quality.
If we go down hopefully players are offered one year deals to sign. The only downside of that is players want longer contacts so would sign elsewhere.
Like I say ideally we stay up and donāt have to worry about that.

Totally agree regarding Saturdays result. It really is must win, if we fail to beat them we will be favourites to finish bottom.
Airdrie will fancy there chances against Raith as they always seem to do well against them, bit of a bogey team by all accounts.

Raith are unbeaten in 6 with 5 clean sheets (although one against us so it`s debatable the extent to which that counts!) so it seems like they`re getting their act together at last.
Looking on the positive side if we turn over Queens and Raith win then we`re 6 ahead with 9 to play for.
Too close for comfort though, already dreading Hampden.

As Ahoy! Ahoy says A win for us , A Raith win and throw in a Partick win will be a great weekend !
We have to live in hope And the Big one is this Saturday , score first and I am confident , we need to take the game to them

Yeah a Partick win aswell, looking at the games Partick and Raith both at home and fighting for the playoff spot, youād fancy both to win.i know there are no certainties but they both have the ability to win they games.
A win for us will almost certainly mean a victory over Airdrie at home, coupled with them losing, will ensure our survival.
I know that means winning back to back games for the first time this season and thatās a huge ask. I know I sound like a broken record but I hope weāre wrapping Kane in bubble wrap though the week and getting him ready for Saturdays.

Will everyone please stop panicking and getting your knickers in a twist in the middle of the week. Save all your pent up frustration for half an hour before kick-off.
There is zero point in what ifs and maybes on a blooming Tuesday or a Friday. You`re just stressing yourself at a pointless time.
Relax and live your normal lives until the time comes. Someone`s gonna have a coronary if they`re not careful.

Wee eck come on. Doesnāt matter if youāve been out for a month or 2, set piece delivery doesnāt depend on how fit you are, itās about how much quality you have on dead balls.
Fatigue wise and getting around the pitch you can understand, but not set plays.

Heās played 20 matches this season in the league and contributed very little. Obviously I do hope he can pop up with a goal or something but itās a big ask and I just donāt agree that he will save our season, as this thread is all about.
Kane is the man we need to save our season.

Some comments from Matty Todd on COWS -
Converting chances has been a persistent issue for Dunfermline this season. Matty acknowledged the problem, including his own role in trying to solve it. āWeāre getting into the areas now and I think before last weekend, it was something that was brought up into meetings that weād had, that we needed to get the ball into the final third to create more opportunities for the attacking players. On my behalf, the set-pieces were quite poor and I need to work on them for myself and for the team. But at the end of the day, we probably created enough openings that we should have taken our chances.ā
For the 23 year old personally, the Hamilton match represented another important step in his return from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him for nine matches. After playing an hour in Wednesdayās match against Livingston, he managed over 70 minutes against Hamilton.
āI felt all right to be honest,ā he said of his physical condition. āI think Wednesday night obviously I put a lot into my hour and a bit on the pitch and then it was quite a quick turnaround for me. I had to recover quite well considering Iād not played in so long.ā
Matty admitted he āmaybe lacked that wee bit of qualityā in terms of touches and final ball, but is focused on recovery ahead of the Queenās Park fixture. All the squad is still adapting to life under new manager Neil Lennon, who took charge just weeks ago. Matty revealed that Lennon has asked him to ābe a constant threatā by ārunning in behind and being that creative player.ā
āI think Wednesday night, I did it well, played a part in the goal. And then Saturday, maybe struggled a wee bit to get on the ball and make things happen just with the way Hamilton set up,ā he explained.

100% keep him. A lot of our players are much better than they have appeared to be. They`ve just been managed poorly.
I`d like to see Hampson given a chance. Or maybe he looks mince in training. He`s highly thought of though by previous coaches.

Scored the same amount of league goals as Lewis McCann in less than half the minutes played, it`s his drive forward that forces the save prior to the goal against Livingston and absolutely carries the most goal threat from midfield. Far better team with him in it.
