Nah get this idea in the bin. World Cup should be 32 teams and Euros back down to 16. May be that we never qualify again, but they are meant to be elite competitions. Group stages in Euros recently has shown it can be a dull affair as teams play out for draws.

I`d welcome it because it would give the other British countries a better chance of all being there. It doesn`t matter to England because they are always in qualifying groups with such giants as Whoaretheykazan, Whit?wherestien and Whotheheckaretheyville.
