Heard about this a couple of weeks ago so think there is definitely some truth to it.
Forrest has one year left on his contract but with how much game time he’s getting, he might be fancying the opportunity of playing minutes with us under a familiar manager and given his long tenure with Celtic, and ofcourse the clubs relationship with Lennon…
Wouldn’t surprise me if they could get a deal done.

I read that earlier this morning and couldn’t help but wonder if it was one of those off-the-cuff, half-joking remarks that get picked up and spun by a reporter. Don’t get me wrong — we’d all be buzzing to see someone like Forrest at the club. He’s a real Box Office name, the kind of player who’d genuinely get bums on seats. But honestly, I’d be surprised if there’s anything in it, and I doubt Lennon meant it as anything more than a throwaway comment.

Is this just forum talk, or has it come from an actual source, like a newspaper or journalist? It’s been mentioned quite a few times now, both here and on other forums, and I’ve got to say, it’s something I’d really like to see happen.

Don`t trust the media either. Journalists have to fill pages, even when there is no news.
Until you see an official announcement, don`t trust anything that`s said.

There were rumours flying about the end of last season about James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong and Lennon`s 2 million pound transfer budget.
It would be fantastic if true, but I suspect it people putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

We also signed Wanyama at just 33, so whilst I agree it’s unlikely, seeing a player like Forrest here isn’t beyond the realms of possibilities.
