Both 1 year extensions.
Would have liked to have seen longer for Mullen but it is what it is.

1 year extension is better than him leaving.
Oakley Boothe has a lot to prove. Fingers crossed the managers faith in him is repaid.

Ah there goes any hope of a fee for mullan a year is better than nothing but will be hard to replace next season as we aim to mount a challenge.
Boothe is a bit mixed, does a wee cameo in every game then goes missing for the other 80 minutes. If he can regain that hunger to get more involved in games he will absolutely be good enough to help move us up the league.

Shame we couldn’t get Mullen on a longer deal, had hoped we would manage to.
Oakley Booth will need to show us a lot more than he did last season if he is to help us achieve our aims.

Both should be good signings for next season. I hope with a better management structure we’ll see more of Oakley-Boothe

I think that`s great news. Tash has talent and a football brain, so hopefully, he will have a big impact this season, especially with better players around him who he can link up with. CM has proved himself in this league and will also be a big player for us.

Hopefully with a manager who wants players to play forward rather than sideways and back our midfield might flourish.

Just back from seeing UB40 and caught the news, absolutely delighted. I don’t think much needs to be said about JCM; the guy just oozes quality and clearly has a big future in the game. I’d have liked the deal to be a bit longer, but there’s obviously a reason behind it. He’ll know that if he has a strong season and we don’t go up, there’s a good chance he’ll move on regardless. Fair play to him, but first, he’s got to deliver that big season.
As for Tash, he looked a real prospect in his first game, but seemed to get dragged down a bit by the general malaise in the team. After that, and impacted by injury, we didn’t see that same level from him until the final game against Morton, where I thought he actually did really well. Glad to have him for another year. I do think a few of our supporters might be writing him off too quickly. Time will tell.

Absolutely delighted with the news that Mullen has signed up, only wish it was a longer deal.
We’re not going to see any money made from him now as he will be able to sign a Pre-Contract in January.
Oakley-Boothe I think there is a player there and hopefully with a full pre-season behind him he can be a big player for us.

If we can get off to a decent start to the campaign (e.g., in the top 4 by mid December), we might be able to persuade them to sign longer term contracts with us at that point?

Buzzing to see Mullen back, even if it’s just for the season. If we get off to a flyer, wouldn’t be surprised to see bids coming in for him come January. Hopefully we’ve get a decent sell on clause sorted . Always rated him, he is a proper player, and I reckon Lennon can take him up another level too.
As for Tash, I’d take him back, but honestly wouldn’t lose sleep if he moved on. Looked class in his first game but hasn’t really kicked on since. That said, with a fresh start under Lennon, I don’t see him putting up with anyone coasting, you either graft or you`re out.

Why would we have a sell on clause. It’s a 1 year contract and he’s free in January to sign for an other club on a pre contract. Only way we’d get a sell on is if someone signs him before May.

I guess if he does do really well and another club want to sign him in the January window then we may be able to get a few quid for him and also get a sell on clause inserted into the deal.
If he does stay to the end of his contract then, provided we offer him a new deal, we would be due a training development fee for him. This wouldn`t be much though, as we will only have had him here for 1.5 years, so probably in the region of £10 to £15k if he moves to another Scottish club

There won’t be a sell on clause, he can sign a PCA and leave for free in the summer.

There’s already possibly a trigger in the deal that says if he plays x number of games we have rights for another year. Unless his agent is playing real hard ball I can’t imagine we didn’t want to sign him for longer. There was already a year deal as part of signing him originally as our option.

"Sky Sports News understand there is no fee on the deal, but a sell-on clause has been inserted."
when he signed in February.
ideally it would have been a new longer contract rather than using the 1 year option but at least it is confirmed.

Clearly it’s a 1 year deal as the lad and his agent have bigger fish to try after another years experience under his belt. It makes no difference if we go up or not he won’t be here the season after.
You get more in signing on and wages etc if there’s no fee involved, common sense really. We’ll get a year to help us improve then he’ll move onwards and upwards.
I’m sure the club are disappointed but nothing you can do.

I don`t think you need to worry about that. He had then playing forward from the first kick of his first game. It wasn`t always pretty to watch but it was certainly more effective than before.

JTH123 I don’t think Lennon’s tactics going forward were more effective than before, didn’t we only score 2 goals in like 8-9 games?
Then main thing that went for Lennon was mullan which meant we kept a few more clean sheets to get some more points on the board.
