If you’re coming and want a seat then you better hurry up as they don’t have any in the away end. Literally no seats. Just concrete steps and it’s small. Get in early.

I suggested having these sort of outlets at the back of the Norrie. People pointed out these guys might not be interested in a pitch for a couple of hours.

Juice in cans.
They`ll have to go. The price of progress. Like not getting into the bar at Spartans at halftime for a couple of swifties after they got promoted.

Agree. You go to a baseball game and there are umpteen food outlets with all sorts of food. Okay, most of it is just guff but no worse than pies and empire biscuits.

We should create a `fan zone` in the carpark behind the NW. A few food vans and a beer garden that can be enclosed when the weather is rubbish.
Would make the match day experience better and bring in additional funds.

Aye a fanzone in the middle of January when it -5 would never great….
A fan zone could easily have the capability to be enclosed and also heated, you find them at stadiums who have a colder climate than Scotland

You`d imagine Stephens would have something to say if other food vendors started turning up on matchdays. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t have some kind of exclusivity clause in their contract.
That said, it’s not hard to see why folk would be in favour of bringing someone else in. The grub’s brutal, prices are ridiculous, and half the time you`re lucky if it`s hot unless you get a hot drink. They don`t cool down until at least Monday. The whole matchday experience should be better than queueing 20 minutes for a lukewarm steak brideithat tastes like cardboard and as thin as a rizzla paper.
If the club can renegotiate or look at alternatives when the deal’s up, they really should. Bit of competition wouldn’t hurt. At the very least it might force Stephens to up their game, or lower the prices. Either way, fans win.
c'mon the pars

Talking of `Stephens`, cammy, what`s happened to Steven Fletcher? At the start of last week you seemed confident he was about to sign for us. I must say, if there`s anything in this, I`m surprised the media haven`t latched on to it.

Maybe talks hit a snag, or he’s weighing up other potential offers, he is also still under contract at Wrexham so something could have happened there. 20001 reasons he didn`t feature.
As for the media not picking it up, not sure that means much nowadays. They’ve missed plenty over the last few windows and usually only catch up once the club’s posted the signing video. If there is something in it, it’ll probably just land out the blue like half our business does.

I thought Wrexham had said he would not be offered a new deal and he was disappointed by that? I haven`t seen anything since to suggest that has changed.

The fans somehow need to make the owners know that they ain`t happy with the dogmeat currently on offer. The stuff they sell at east end is nowhere near what they sell in their shops. Their shop stuff (meat related) isn`t much better tbh, Stephens is only good for rolls, filled rolls and cakes.

It’s quality has definitely gone downhill over the past few years, but I’m not sure I agree with this.

I’ve never understood why Stephen’s at EEP can’t sell most of the stuff they already do on their shops.
Lentil soup and a roll would be very popular at half time.
Filled rolls pre prepared.
Bean and potato pies
Custard creams, strawberry tarts etc
I get it’s a speed service but they could so much better and yes I get it takes a lot of time and effort for pre prepared rolls but other hot meals and soup shouldn’t even be an issue.
Stephen’s Bakery have been playing it ‘safe’ for too many years now whilst other clubs are overtaking us in terms of choice.

I agree, and this part here is what annoys me. You can even go to League 2 and non-league grounds and get “sexy pies” as someone I know calls them haha.
If I’m going to Stephen’s on a match day, I tend to go to one of the shops I pass on route, because of the choice….and normally you find the tea/coffee and the food hot.

Much prefer Baynes when I`m back, Stephens definitely gone downhill, or if we could stretch to Stuart`s........
Fan zones never took off in Britain I think, personally doesn`t interest me, the ground is so close to the city centre, and there`s cracking pre match pubs, that I don`t see the attraction, but then again I work in Malta, and get to the ground only about 10 games a season. But pre match ritual is Commercial (including food) many German stadiums are really almost out of town, or not in the centre, American? The few that I`ve been to, you need to be there well before KO anyway, locations are dreadful if you don`t have a car.

It’s a good point you make about being close to the town center I’ll give you that.
Dortmund for example is about 15 minutes away from any surrounding area by train but the plus side to the experience is meeting people (fellow scots ) from other countries two hours before kick off and make it worthwhile.
The main beer garden there has multiple TV screens too so fans can catch earlier games and if unlucky to get tickets can stay and watch BVB live at 2.30 pm or whatever the K.O. Is as no restrictions there.
The other attraction is TV screens in the concourse where you buy food and drink. Game is shown live so you don’t miss anything.

None of what`s posted on here `matters`. It`s just folk expressing their opinions. I was simply asking whether Fletcher`s contractual position with Wrexham had changed from what had been originally reported.

On the topic at hand, I`m surprised it manages to get a licence. Only one road in which isn`t wide enough for big crowds and not very well lit. Access is all over the place - loads of folk just walked in without their tickets being scanned. Burger van selling juice and water in cans and bottles which is usually a big no-no in case they can be used as a weapon. Nice enough toilets but not many of them. Still just about better than Meadowbank but not by much.
