 Ex-Pars in Europe

There could be several former Pars in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League and Conference League, but one match in particular caught my eye tonight.

St Patrick`s Athletic 1-0 Hegelmann

St Pat`s are managed by Stephen Kenny, while Hegelmann are managed by Andrius Skerla. Plus the winning goal was scored by Aidan Keena.

I don’t think we realised how lucky we were to have an Andrius Skerla in our team. Easily the best defender in the league outside the old firm.

And to think of what Youssef Rossi could have been as well (if he wasn`t a complete nutcase)!

Kerr McInroy plaid for Shelbourne against Linfield in the UEFA Champions League - 1st Qualifying Round on Wednesday

Shelbourne won 1 - 0 was a great atmosphere as will the return match be at Windsor Park with the North South Divide

They`ll needle get an early goal in the hope of getting it all sewn up before halftime otherwise the whole thing might unravel.

I get where you’re coming from with that comment, but I have to disagree. I think we absolutely did appreciate him. I was always amazed we managed to keep hold of him for as long as we did. Honestly, I could never understand why he wasn’t playing further up the ladder, proper class act!
