You would expect NL to get the midfield sorted and he has quickly recognised the potential of Gilmour and TOB. The only thing lacking is that killer final ball. Amade looks like a good alternative with his energy and running power so it looks like we have the basis of a good `engine room`.

As NL said the Morton keeper had three outstanding saves. I agree with the comment on the match thread that we need to vary our attacking free kicks with someone making a run at the near post for a flick-on or attempt at goal.

It`s clear we went about Morton with a will that was lacking v Stirling. I wonder if oor players thought there was nothin to play for against the Albion and were keeping theirsels fit for the league match. I`m right glad to see us pick up the pace and get stuck in yesterday.

I think you can see the difference in the mood this season from the players post match interviews. Players looking forward more to games and a sense of optimism. Good to see.
