Love your optimism broontroot, these teams are quite far ahead of us. I doubt we’ll finish anywhere near either of them unless we suddenly find a budget for wages that attracts some decent players.
St Johnstone have good forward options who will do some damage this season.

A St J supporter today was saying to a colleague of mine they think they are in a good place to win the championship. He has some involvement with the club in a non-football capacity but it appears confidence is high. Time will tell.

Cowie wasn`t exactly well thought of by the Ross County fans.
Level of expectation plus the personnel they`ve brought in (and there has been plenty) and he`ll be gone by the end of September if they don`t start well IMO.
One thing caught my eye for St Johnstone is the size of them. Lot of big, powerful laddies and strong runners ala Livingston last season.

We are far off St Johnstone as far as quality up front goes.
They look very impressive and only desperate defending is keeping the score level.

Both aren`t up to much being honest. Lots of tapping the ball about but not much action. Gullan had a good chance but fluffed it. Very dull game.

Decent goal but neither side looks as good as the team sheet suggests. I`m sure they`ll both be up the top of the league though. Slightly amusing seeing County losing after spending so much. Empty stadium too.

St Johnstone look pretty good value for top spot.
County had spells by St Johnston were on top for most of the match, which is pretty impressive away from home to your most likely competition for the league.
I`m sure County will be safely in the top four.

The game reminded me of our game last week. Both teams could have snatched it but the Saints definitely had the better quality and probably deserved their win.
They have sent a message to the rest of the league with that result even this early in the season.
