That’s what we have now. If we get beat this season it will have to be by skill ‘cos pound for pound we are punching.

Defo, gilmour makes such a difference, commits the intelligent foul well and gets fired in and importantly wins his fair share in the air which we have struggled with for some time. Boothe strong on the ball and amade looks like a good 3rd player to bring in.

Kane also brings a lot of this so when he’s back that will make a big difference. Even cooper looked like he was getting stuck in a has bulked up a bit.

Not bad for a relatively young team. Subs added much needed energy in the final 3rd too

Think you’ve summed it up nicely their Berkey. Think the back 3 are no push overs either, 3 clean sheets in a row point to this.

What do you mean by "intelligent foul", Berkey? Do you mean a tactical foul or so-called "professional foul"?

Not your average Sunday League player.

Yeah a tactical foul, right at the start of an airdrie move, stopped a few possible counter attacks. He’ll pick up bookings right enough but it’s great to see we can now mix it with bigger more physical players in there.

Gilmour was fairly lucky not to be booked yesterday, all 3 of his fouls were easily bookable offences especially after Tod’s booking.

He is a quality player though and an improvement to the dross last season.

I think we will need a bit more protection from referees as our young team go through the season.
It`s a tough league and grit is the right word.

Gilmour must have a near perfect pass completion rate. Always showing for the ball. Very happy at that bit of business.

c'mon the pars
