A few details I noticed: Bene walked back to give Mason an appreciative high five after that save. And he singled out Jeremiah for one, after Jer had laid on the tap in for Andrew.
John Tod`s goal - shades of Archie Gemill v Netherlands yon time.
Connor - has a look of a proper striker - his body shapes in action remind me of Kev Nisbet.
Josh almost scored a peach in top left.
Well done all.

If Tod was a midfielder, that goal would be a `goal of the month` contender (probably the winner), but he`s a defender so I reckon it will be a `goal of the season` contender (and it WILL win). Amazing goal. One of the best I`ve seen from Dunfermline in a long time.
Difference from previous seasons, pressing when off the ball and a shoot on sight policy. I can see a fair few long range screamers this season.
I wonder when the last time 2 brothers scored the only goals in a game? That`s a question for my statistician cousin.
Finally, a word on Mehmet. I`ve never been his biggest fan but as someone who suffers from depression, I feel for the guy. He must be devastated at being booted out the team straight away. I thought he`d get to keep his place until he made a blunder, but no, he`s out straight away. My sympathies are with him. I hope he gets another club as he deserves to be playing somewhere, a leagues below perhaps.

That would have been really foolish of Lennon to say that, Nick. Firstly, he`d have a demoralised and demotivated keeper in his squad and secondly, what if he was unable to bring a better keeper and was forced to go with Deniz as happened during the League Cup group matches.
I tend to think Neil Lennon is far too smart to make such a crass error of judgement.
Not your average Sunday League player.

Not for the first time, I have say that I for one really feel for Deniz. I felt he`d done more than enough in the league cup campaign to at least keep the shirt for the start of the league season. Perhaps my only disappointment with NL thus far!

If Lennon thinks Munn is a better keeper then that`s who he picks. Not waiting for goalkeeping mistake to make a change.
Lennon sees Mehmet day in, day out and will make judgements based on what he sees in training as well as in games.
Mehmet didn`t do anything wrong pre-season but I wouldn`t say he did anything spectacular either.
I`ve seen way too many blunders from Mehmet over the years and I think Lennon has done the right thing.

The fact he mentioned earlier in preseason during an interview that he hoped to bring 2 keepers in was telling enough for me that he wasn’t going to play.

I`m torn in all honesty, i feel Mehmet deserved a shot as he hasn`t put a foot wrong in the pre season games, in saying that i`m glad we have someone in Lennon who is ruthless and will play the best team he feels is available and to be fair Munn has done really well thus far.

What`s the opposite of a sociopath? Because I`m definitely one, I`ve got far to much empathy. To much empathy can really mess with your head, caring about things that you can`t do anything about. It`s hard work trying to block it out.
Think I`d rather be a sociopath.
Not so fun fact. My grandma had fertility treatment, then about a year or so later my mother popped out. Then 16 years later I popped out. This makes me an anomaly, a freak of nature. I reckon that`s why I`m such a mess, I shouldn`t exist. Luckily, I believe in reincarnation, so I`m hopeful that the curse doesn`t carry on. I just hope my music taste travels with me as it`s the only thing tha gives me joy. There was something else, but it was taken away from me because...people suck, even ones that everyone else sees as perfect.
Hopefully I`m gay in my next life so certain things can`t be taken away from me again, because that shıt hurts.

You say you`ve got "far too much empathy." Empathy means being able to imagine what it`s like being the other person. So let`s imagine Deniz reads your posts:

DM: oh thanks for that ringing endorsement of my abilities.

DM: No thanks, I`m quite happy where I am, at a club where I`ve put in the best performances of my career, had the best times - where I`m quite up for challenging for the number one goalkeeper`s spot, and ready to step in when needed. So I`ll just keep on with my job, doing what I love doing at the club I love being a part of.
(As he finishes reading Kozma`s posts and goes away to study "Goalkeeping For Beginners", Deniz bursts into a rousing chorus of "Don`t Cry for me Argentina!")

Deniz isn`t a bad keeper. When you bring someone in on loan, there may be a need to play so many games with him.maybe Munn is just a better keeper. Having 3 keepers isn`t a bad thing and it will be down to competition. Maybe Deniz is also helping out in training informally. I don`t think he will just be making up numbers. I doubt that`s NLs style

I agree deniz hasn’t done much wrong. But I also feel that it’s a correct decision. Mason commands his box better. It’s possibly an age thing?? The younger keepers are taught differently these days. It’s similar to bene compared to his 2 younger centre backs just now, in the way the young ones stride forward compared to bene who’s happy to stay back and defend. Although I will also say that apart from a moment of madness against hearts bene has been really good and a great leader
