Agree with the sponsors ( for once) John Tod for the goal and overall performance. Just checked his age and he only turned 18 in May. Was impressed with his determination to get forward. Also very impressed with Bene, didnt put a foot wrong.

I`d have awarded JT the MOM even if he`d walked off right after he scored. 😁
Not your average Sunday League player.

I just watched both goals again on the highlights.
JT takes the ball about 10 yards inside the Airdrie half. Last season that would turn into a flat pass across the defence. Instead he attacks down the wing. Plays a one/two, which takes out two defenders, then pushes on and plays another one/two, the wrong foots the defender and then scores a screamer.
That moment alone would make him MOM for me.
On the other goal, you`ve got Mullen crossing the ball from the edge of the penalty box.
The attacking ability of our "defensive" players might be a real secret weapon this season.

Got to be J.T for the goal and all round display, going to be a real asset to us this season. Mullen wasn,t far behind like his attacking ability as well as his defensive quality COYP

Saw Oakley-Booth yesterday for the first time this season. Much improved going on yesterday`s performance.

It`s crazy what competition for places can do Amade on the bench to step up at any time. Exciting times ahead of we can keep everyone (kane the exception) fit.
c'mon the pars

The midfield 3 were brilliant honestly.

He’s not had much game time so far but I also really like the look of Keith Bray - if we do get another couple of strong signings we’re going to have a very strong bench.

Benedictus for me, was phenomenal at the back, gave Tod and Mullen the platform to do what they did.

John Tod but shout out for Bene for me.
JT looks a real prospect.
Move aside John Terry, the real JT is here 😂

Yeah Benedictus was really good I thought. The other two (young) centre halves occasionally got caught out of position (sometimes from bombing forward but also sometimes just due to a lack of experience) but Bene kept things solid. Having the midfield base ahead of them helps and knowing Oakley-Boothe, Amade or Gilmour can drop deeper certainly allows them to break the lines.
