According to their website it seems some Ayr Utd fans are giving the team a bit of grief.

Obviously 2 games into the season and the fact they have not yet won the league has got them a wee bit irate.

Canny do the link thing, sorry

Basically, this translates to:

“We have been p**h in the two league games so far but don’t complain about it. We’ve done some bits with the stadium and we might build new toilets in the future. Pay your money and clap along like good little boys.”

Reminiscent of the statements we have had in the past under previous regimes.

Delighted Ayr seem to have went backwards as a force though. I had thought they’d be difficult for us to finish above before the season started.

They have been talked up ever since Brown took the job. They aren’t as good as being talked up to be.

Hashtag "weareunited" LOL.

One thing that unites all fan bases is that they`re only a week or two away from being livid at any moment in time. If you spend any time on any forum in our league, all fans are annoyed right now other than maybe St J, Arbroath and perhaps ourselves > although we`re fragile little kittens in the grand scheme of things.

Still very early days and incredible to consider where these expectation come from. By the end of round 1 of fixtures gives a clearer picture, unless of course it is Peter Grant 👀

When I was thinking before the season started I had Brown down as the first person moving on from a managerial position in the league. Either due to other people coming in for him or for the removal from his position. Seems it could be the latter.

I don`t really understand the point of the club statement. Regardless of what you say they`re going to remain frustrated until results improve. We all remember what that Peter Grant statement did to the Pars fanbase...

I`ve not really rated Brown that highly as a manager so far, I think they`ve spent a lot on their squad since his appointment but I`m not convinced he`ll push them on to challenge for the title. Their expectations have been set quite high and the fans want a proper title challenge after last season sputtered out.

Isn`t the club statement directed at those expressing criticism in an abusive way, rather than the criticism itself? Unfortunately, we saw the effects of that ourselves with the treatment Ross McArthur got from some fans.

They do have 4/5 of last season first team out injured so I would have thought will improve on their return.

Aye it’s just the usual carry on you get with football fans. Folk are fickle as anything. Rangers are the same as every other club. I know a lad with a season ticket, barely misses a game home or away, Europe included, and he was wanting Martin punted after 45 minutes of the first competitive game.

It`s impossible to really gauge a fanbase as a whole. It`s like on here you’ll get a couple dozen folk who post. Frequently, some who might not even go to games, firing out hot takes. Same old patter every time. If you lose a couple, the manager’s jacket is on a shoogly peg. Win a couple, he’s suddenly a legend that gets the club.

It’s just the cycle, pure bipolar opinions at times.

c'mon the pars

I think with rangers it’s a case of the fans never fancying Martin to start with so he had to get off to a flyer to win them over, he hasn’t, they look dross and totally unorganised at the back.

With Ayr, they set expectations high last season with a credible title challenge although they fell away a wee but in the final weeks of the season. They are now struggling to maintain the high expectations that has been set and that will always cause frustration.

Ross county fans are frustrated because they wanted Don Cowie hunted last season and he’s still in a job. He’s been allowed to sign plenty players. If they don’t pick up and look title challengers he will be dispatched sooner rather than later.
