The Hamburg derby kicks off Matchweek 2, marking the 112th meeting between the two sides and their first Bundesliga clash since 2010/11, when St. Pauli won 1-0.
Last season in Bundesliga 2, Hamburg came out on top in the head-to-head fixtures, but it was St. Pauli who were crowned champions and earned promotion, leaving Hamburg to wait another year to face their rivals again.

Excellent. Cannae stand HSV. Wee story. They`ve got a friendship with Rangers and one time me and mates, were going over to see BVB play HSV. Our flight from Edinburgh was full of Rangers fans, about 40 or 50 of them. They were giving us grief, calling us the usual Fenian Bassas pihs. Total dregs. We get over and getting the train from the airport to the city, there`s an announcement. My mate, who`s fluent in German, quietly says to us, We`re getting off at the 1st station. OK, no problem. So we get off, all the dregs are giving us the wnker signs, middle fingers, the vickys, everything. We`re just looking at them on the platform, waving, as the train goes all the way back to the airport, with them all still on it ππ
