 International breaks

Does anyone else hate them? Pretty much 2 weeks with the occasional game that holds any interest. I just want wall to wall league football all year. Just get rid of the World Cup and the Euros all together. It`s only a matter of time before England wins one. Why take the risk?

Love international breaks personally. The players that moan about them need to get a grip. Should be an honour to play for your country, not a chore. International football existed a long time before the majority of club competitions. Especially the UEFA ones.

Long may it last.

Totally against domestic football being played during international breaks, whether we have players involved or not.

As someone who attends Scotland games, having to, on occasion, choose between club and country is a disgrace.

Unfortunately the club has lost out every time as usually international tickets are bought way before the games.

No one should ever have to choose or be forced to miss a club game due to watching their country, home or abroad.

I`m not away this weekend but having to rearrange our fixture means I will miss it as not home in time for midweek matches, so that is also a factor for me.

Big no.

COME ON YE PARS!

I watch Scotland games on the telly and I want them to win but it holds far less interest to me than watching the pars.

best weeks of the year. Passport dusted off and off to explore the world

a year warning Kozma that due to world cup in summer and some leagues starting later next season they have merged the Sept and Oct breaks into 1 break running from 21/09/26 to 06/10/26 and will incorporate 4 matches.

No problem with international breaks - but postponing regular league fixtures to accommodate other domestic competitions is hard to justify IMO.

These could be played midweek.

Yes, I do. Nothing against international football, I just think there`s far to much of it. Used to have a special feel about it ( World Cup, Euros etc) now it feels like too much of a good thing. Preffered it back in the day when international matches were played midweek and don`t like the stop-start disruption to the domestic programme which has just got going.

As someone who has been a regular at Hampden for over 30 years….i’m with Suzie and I think supporters in general should never have to choose between club & country.

However, International football in general doesn’t interest me. I’ll watch Scotland games and I follow what we are doing, but would probably never switch on a random game between 2 nations, like I would do with club football, unless it’s in a major tournament.
