Are they maybe playing on the Caroline Weir connection? (Sorry, I posted that without reading the article). I read today that Caroline's main remaining ambition is to play in the next WC with Scotland.

Who recalls that we were about to host a young Euro (ladies I think)competition games around 5 years back which would have resulted in us getting an electronic scoreboard installed for us but for the pandemic?

Caroline lost out to Bonmati of Barcelona for the "Ballon d`or" , apparently the 3rd time she`s won it. Real Madrid boycotted the male trophy last year as Vinicius never won it!

In fact she never got in the top ten players!

I don`t know how many nominees there were but Caroline came 30th in the final vote. I think she was the only European player nominated who hadn`t taken part in the Euros so that was an achievement in itself.
