 NL`s post-match interview
Topic Originator: wee eck
Date:   Sat 25 Oct 18:25

He is furious with the referee. He says there was a blatant foul on Abdulai in the build-up to the opening goal and the free kick which led to the winner was never a foul by JCM. He also mentioned a smash to Matty Todd`s face which went unpunished and the AR making abusive remarks to our bench which he later apologised for. Can anyone who was at the game confirm these claims?

My wee boy keeps saying to me that the refs are always bias. I usually tell him it’s not that. It’s because the referees in this country are absolutely atrocious. Sometimes though, I do wonder.

The ref was poor but so was our defending all game. We were hopeless first half. Played into their hands with slow possession, passing backwards and then aimless punts forward.

Abdulai looked to be fouled which is why he scuffed his clearance.

Tod was elbowed when trying to close down keeper and Gallagher should’ve been sent off.

Mullen won the ball fairly and it was never a foul.

Kane was also take out on the wing which looked a rash challenge.

Can’t confirm anything regarding the Assistant ref though.

For the free kick that led to the 3rd goal I thought Mullen won the ball

Clear elbow/fore arm to the face of Matty Todd when running through

It is understood Dunfermline have been told that they should have had a penalty.

And it is also expected that Collum will speak to the officials involved to highlight future improvements."

It has left the Pars feeling vindicated by their annoyance over the incident with Kane, who instantly remonstrated with Nicolson and visibly indicated what had happened."

and 4 weeks later since that Partick game, here we are with the same referee and a performance that was of no surprise at all.
all that happens now though is Lennon gets a fine or a touchline ban for his comments

In fairness county had about 4 offsides given in the first half that were never in a million years offside. The ref was equally as bad for both sides

GJS93 I agree with you, 4 weeks ago we had this referee complained about him and we are told we should have had a penalty etc and what does the league do! appoint him again and once again gives us nothing, we are not looking for favours just referees to be up for the job , I am well and truly pi55ed off tonight with him, ok we weren`t very good today but that doesn`t excuse him

Im no conspiracy theorist, but ever since we went into admin it feels like we get a bad share of ref decisions - not just things like penalties, offsides etc, but just in general.

Teams we play against can be overly rough, or commit numerous fouls where nothing is given, or no card shown. Our first or second offence gets a booking.

Same with time wasting - teams time waste so much against is, but the first instance we do it we are told to hurry up or booked.

As I say, Im not a theorist on it though, I do also believe the refs in Scotland are absolutely horrific, including our “top tier” refs, who have gotten a lot worse at our level since the introduction of VAR.

And if the assistant ref has admitted to making bad comments, he should get the book thrown at him and demoted.

in the Scotsman:

"Continuing in an interview with the BBC, former Celtic and Hibs boss Lennon added: “We are getting done by referees and particularly that one. I’ve already asked the head of referees – I don’t want him refereeing any of our games again. He’s either incompetent or I don’t know what the word I’m looking for is…

“I’ll leave to the club to report back to Willie. I’ve been in the game a long time and that attitude from a certain individual is unacceptable.”

Lennon is spot on.

Orange lodge, Masons etc are in on this. Never seen so many bad decisions against us in 40 years.

Disgusting bigotry is the reason for the horrendous refs we have had this season. Bigot billy boys. Lets call this crap out now....

C’mon guys, “we’ve “ publicly humiliated him ! Had his boss question his decisions and then he’s given another Dunfermline game! Human nature says you’re getting sweet fa from him!
This should be enough to ensure he doesn’t ref us for a long time!! Aye right!
Watch this space!!
