Might they actually do it this year?

After the OF, F****** and the Rovers, Hearts would be next in the list of my most hated teams to win something. But I do feel myself cheering Hearts in this game...

Can`t say I disagree. Not a nice club in my experience but I`d rather see Hearts win it than either Celtic or Rangers.

8 points may seem like a lot but they`ve only played 9 games, not even the first round. Celtic will buck up their ideas and claw it back before the next 9 games then go on to win by at least 10 points.

I think we all know this unfortunately.

I hate Hearts as much as the old firm but it would be good to see another team break the monopoly. I don`t know any Hearts fans so wouldn`t be to fussed if they did win it. They won`t though.

Alternatively, they`re 8 points ahead after only 9 games.

Well played Hearts, that’s a good team McKinnes has put together. Thouroughly deserve to be top of league.

I’d love to see them go all the way…..

If they keep 6 or 7 points clear by next transfer window then with Hearts strengthening, as I expect they will, will Celtic break the biscuit tin open to get the quality they badly need.

Great performance and result for the Jambos, thoroughly deserved.

Best chance ever to go all the way - which would be great for Scottish football!

Obviously, we`d all love someone other than the cheeks win the league.

It`s anyone but Hearts for me. I`ve just never been able to like anything about them. They`ve had one hell of a start to the season though. Also, I don`t mind McInnes.

Can`t argue with you, SP, I can`t remember Rangers being so poor, perhaps when John Greig was the manager? Celtic not a lot better and key players like Carter-Vickers being sidelined until March isn`t going to help, but there`s such a long way to go.

Being top brings its own pressure, let`s see how Hearts cope when they inevitably stumble.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Hearts will need to build up a healthy lead by the end of the year if they want to have any chance. Celtic will go out and spend in January, as much as anything to get their own fans off their back.

Exactly, there’s a long way to go. I’d love to see anyone else than the OF win it.

I’m kinda the same as a few posters above,

Would love to see the OF not win the league for once, and I’d be right behind almost anyone else, apart from hearts…

‘Celtic will go out and spend in January”

Brendan Rodger’s can’t sign a player. He’s good at managing other people’s teams but recruitment is his Achilles heal.
