Just noticed that five of the top six teams in our league are playing away this weekend, with only DAFC having a home match. All we have to do is beat the league leaders ...

That`ll change by the end of the season, Jeffrey. It`s very unusual for a team to have a better away record over a large number of games.
Statistically, the ratio of home wins to away is 3:2 worldwide.

Didn’t we have a season under Stevie Crawford where we only won one home game all season?

Don`t know about that, but I do remember one season around then when, with one of each to go, we were guaranteed to have the best away and worst home records in the division.

Yeah, I remember that, too, precisely because it`s such an unusual occurrence - the so-called exception that proves the rule. I doubt there`s a single player or manager who prefers to play away rather than at home unless they`re getting a hard time from their own fans.

Are home supporters less tolerant than the “old days”. Every time we go in at half time losing there are always boo’s. Or am I remembering through rose tinted specs?

The old days weren’t a great deal better.
I always preferred away games back in the 80’s and 90’s as the ‘boo boys’ didn’t bother travelling.
We just went away and had a great day out and backed the team.

I wonder if just being away and not being at home with the expectation being it’s harder to win away than at home, changing a fans outlook 🤷🏻♂️

Regardless of team performance or result today support the team from before during and after game we are moving in the right direction but with such a young team there`s going to be bumps in the road but as season goes on there will be less of them coyp
